This Carrot Cake stall in Chomp Chomp Food Centre is easy to recognize. The name of the shop is essentially just called "Carrot Cake 菜頭粿", the name of the dish it serves. In addition, this stall is located at the right most corner of the entrance. With its distinctive white signboard (compared to the other stalls with colourful signboard, this stall's signboard stands out like a thorn among the roses. It would hard to miss this stall. At $5, the portion of this white carrot cake is reasonable and it is also reasonably priced. The white carrot is soft and moist and slightly oily. The proportion of the eggs and carrot is just right and it goes well together. It is not a must try though as there is nothing special about it.

Carrot cake is a really delicious and fragrant singaporean dish that most if not all hawker centres would have at one of their stalls. This carrot cake at Chomp Chomp is really not too bad and it is definitely fragrant and can be smelled in the air when one is miles away. Love the amount of fried egg that the cook used and the chilli is soooooo good! The black version is not too bad too!

This is the traditional style/ singaporean style of fried carrot cake unlike the Hong Kong style fried carrot cake. I still prefer this type of fried carrot cake compared to Hong Kong style. There are two types of fried carrot cake- either fried it with black sauce or no black thick sauce. I've ordered the white version without black sauce. Saltness level is just nice for me and it's not oily. Good "wok hei" makes the carrot cake and eggs more fragrant too.

I love eating carrot cakes, especially the white carrot cakes since it is where I can taste more of the eggs and the carrot cake itself. I simply love carrot cakes, I tried the carrot here and I find it is one of the best I have eaten. There offer two kinds of carrot cakes, the white ones and the black ones. I tried their black carrot cake this time. One thing I love about their carrot cake is that the pieces are very chewy. They added a lot of eggs as well. The black sauce really makes the carrot cake taste so sweet. as a whole it is really tasty and delicious!

I seldom go to Chomp Chomp Food Centre cos it's not very convenient, small and crowded. However, The food there is wonderful! i totally love the carrot cake from chomp chomp. it is very fragrant. i normally order mine in white cos like this i can taste the actual goodness of the carrot cake. This one is really good. totally tasty. You can see from the queue how good it is. The carrot cake is very chewy and every piece has its flavor. I love the way the egg blend with the carrot cake. I patronized this stall as it was the first stall I spotted. I ordered and came back for it after 10 minutes. When I came back for it, it was still not yet ready so I chance upon how the Uncle cooked the carrot cake. Then I saw the Uncle added in prawns in the center of the frying pan. This stall like many others served black and white fried carrot cake. But the owner can do both versions equally good! We would often get into a debate whether to order the white or black version lol ...
