Recently arrived in Singapore, I thought we would take a break from the tasty Asian foods and get a flavour of Italy. At least thats what we thought...As a starter I had the Beef Carpaccio and my wife the Tomato-Mozzarella; visually appealing, the Carpaccio is one big piece of fresh meat in which the chef has rolled some salad... interesting. On first bite, bam! you reach out for salt and olive oil. What a shame. Seasoning is key for a good carpaccio. As far as the mozza is concerned - again, ol

As far as the mozza is concerned - again, olive oil would have added a lot of value.
For the main I went for the tenderloin - moist in the centre, well done around and grilled on the outside. As you know, un-even cooking is a killer for a steak.
One quite successful dish was the lasagne - the wify would recommend it; tasty, original and visually appealing (a remix of the traditional lasagna) - risky. But well done.
No wine, but drank liters of water as the waiters constantly fill up your glass after every sip you take), and no dessert (as we were bloated from all this liquid), and we got a bill of 170SGD for 2. Pricey.
Overall; a disappointment. Alb says: Focus less on the visual and perhaps more on the taste. Nothing is better than Mama's original cooking!
