Was specially here for the poached egg with smoked salmon SGD ($15++). Read too many reviews about how awesome it is and decided to try myself. And yes, it didn't disappoint me a single bit! The serving is quite huge and its so delicious! I'm totally in love with the hollandaise sauce. Perfect taste with the poached egg and salmon. It was a saturday afternoon and the place was reasonably packed. I didn't really called for reservation because they simply do not take reservation. But they do help you reserve the seats if you call like half an hour earlier, which was what I did. Caramel Cappuccino $6.50 I do not usually order a drink to pair it with my mains. Picking up bridal photos for my cousins near duxton and came across this interesting café name ‘Group Therapy’ so went up to try. I had the all day breakfast smoked salmon set; salty smoked infused salmon accompanied with thick crispy and fluffy toast. Scramble eggs were perfectly cooked topped with heaps of savory ‘poppy’ fish roe really delicious. Additional cracked pepper was added to increase the overall flavor for this dish. Fresh green salad was crunchy and filling.

Group Therapy is one of the few cafes that I will revisit. They have delicious food that is reasonably priced and the cafe is very cosy and quiet (only after lunch hour on weekdays). The wooden furniture adds on to the warm vibe. The moment I entered the cafe, the aroma of coffee pleasantly tingles my nose and the warm lights instantly made me relaxed. Tanjong Pagar is a place/area where all the hidden gems are. My friends and I were walking around the area and noticed this cafe at the second level of the shop houses. We decided to check it out to rest our feet and have a cuppa of coffee. What greeted us was a very laid back and comfortable environment and I like this place right away. Group Therapy is kind of hard to find, tuck away on the second floor of a shop house. I had the poached egg, which is served with thick toast, smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce. Why don't they call it egg's benedict? They are very generous with their smoked salmon and especially their hollandaise sauce, so much so that I find the whole toast too creamy for my liking. It is also very filling, such that I was too full to order dessert.

I have never been to Group Therapy but have heard of it from my friends. I was in that area and decided to drop by for tea. I ordered the flourless white chocolate cheesecake which costs $7.50. Thinly sliced, it was served almost frozen hard and it was so difficult to eat. I had to wait for more than 15 minutes for it to be softer. Nothing to rave about, the cheesecake is dense and the base is not crunchy enough. Maybe their all day breakfast would taste better.

I'd always rather a cookie.In any case, these were good munchers to keep us at brunch conversation. And I like the side salad.Meagre it was, it had some couscous and dressing to keep me at the salad.
