Located at the second floor of a shophouse, one enters through a narrow staircase. The cafe is quite cute looking with the cute monkey pictures on the wall. I feel like a child looking at the monkey soft toy on the rocking horse. I just feel like sitting on the rocking horse. Although the place is not big, there is not much customers around, just 6 customers - a group of 4 playing board games and another of 2 aunties chit chatting away.There is a huge TV set but is not turned on as it was spoile

This place is nice for a relaxed afternoon. We tried the Lava cake and it does not live up to my expectation as as chocolate did not flow out like Lava...seems it is not heated enough. The ice cream is surprising good though. For $10, it is ok, balanaced by the ice cream. We also tried the Beef Stew - they do not have the butter rice ready, so we were given bread instead. The beef Stew is nice in taste but seems a little less for $15. Service wise, I feel the waiter/ waitress could be more atten

This is my first time going to this restaurant. It was a hippy feeling restaurant that was reeking of youthful vibes. Most of the people we saw there were young people too. We ordered the brat stack, which was pancake combo with sausages and salad and hash browns. The pancake was fluffy and light, it went well with the maple syrup. I had never had pancake as main course before so it was a first for me.

Hungry Chimps has a nice dining environment, and conducive to chill during weekdays when there aren't many customers. They also have weekday set lunches which is quite affordable. I tried the chicken chop, meat was a little tough, but sauce was not bad - quite average though. The crinkle-cut fries on the side was also not impressive. I've read that their breakfast is good, probably have to try those.

Having come here for their set lunch before, I decided to try their desserts as I was craving for some. Hungry Chimps is well furnished and has nice decor, which makes people happy dining there. I ordered the molten lava cake - theirs was quite a big portion, so perhaps 2 persons can share. It is decorated with strawberries on top. The filling is indeed "molten"; was warm and liquid. But to me, it tastes like any normal molten lava cake. Still a good place to chill.

Hungry Chimps is rather hidden along the stretch where strictly pancakes is, hence it's difficult to notice it when one walks past. Friend told me about it so I went to try its set lunch. Tried the black pepper pork chop with fries and rice. Pork chop was not tender, but rubbery, so it was quite hard to swallow. Other than that, environment is good, as there is not much of a crowd, and there is WIFI.

Was looking for a place to have dinner with my friends, and came across this place which is located on the 2nd floor. It turned out to be a quiet place, which we were able to chill with food. It could also because of the timing that we went into the cafe. Anyway the food is of reasonable price. The poach egg I eaten is nice.

Today me & my friend walk to a street name Prinsep Street there are some pub & bistro and cafe along the street, is dinner time so we look for a restaurant to fill up our empty stomach, some restaurant is on 2nd level of the shop. At the the end we go to this restaurant name Hungry Chimps..emm look quiet & comfortable the environment but the food is delicious! We order "The Ocean Catch", meaty, soft fillet of Dory covered in delicious garlic and mustard batter.and Oriental Chicken Chop

there are a lot of cafe and special shops at the prinsep street and i was happy to have the chance to try out one of the shops there. the drink is strawberry milk shake with the cream and cornflake on top. i love the creamy texture and strawberry flavour of the drink. the spaghetti is great and al dente, full with the bacon flavour and the crunchiness of the corn. very filling and flavourful.
