Moving into our local delights in Lau Pa Sat, we have Char Kway Teow, Fried Oysters, fried carrot cake, Hokkien noodles from Seng kee. The wide variety of selection may be a hit for tourists who wants to give a try on Singapore's Food. An average fare of Char Kway Teow but with a good consistency of moisture among the Kway Teow. It lacks the omph which a authentic plate of char kway Teow had. Perhaps the absence of fried pork lards and fresh cockles blood in the plate. Well then, the ingredients

Fried Oyster from Seng Kee wasn't doing bad either. The starchy portion are of good consistency with the crispy eggs, as well as wetness were well achieved.

I felt that those oysters added were generally bigger in size.

Though they are not the best or award wining dishes from the hawkers in Singapore, the taste is more or less there and does vary much from those popular ones.

On a side note, Seng Kee's variety is a very good one-stop-station for tourists and us who want to try local delights from this Singapore's Iconic Spot - Lau Pa Sat.

The last stall which we try during the hawker trail by OpenRice is Seng Kee Local Delights. We are thinking of having something local and the stall is just next to where we are sitting. It sells a variety of local stir fried from Fried Kway Teow 炒粿條, Fried Hokkien Mee, Fried Carrot Cakes (in both white and black), Prawn Noodle, Laska to Fried Oyster Omelette 蚵仔煎. The Char Kway Teow costs $4 a serving. There is no char taste and lacking of wok feel. It just feels like stir fried flat noodles in black sauce. Too mashed up to use chopsticks to with. Has to use spoon instead. There is no crisp bits of pork lard too.

The Fried Oyster Omelette costs $5 for small serving and fares slightly better. But also do not have the char and crispy taste.

Overall the stall still have alot to improve on.

The oyster omelette taste pretty good. It is crispy but not totally crispy until it is over fried. It still has the soft flour taste. Locals prefer it with more egg and this is suited to local taste. The big plate cost 8 bucks. A little pricey but quite worth it in my opinion.
