I was craving for Japanese food and decided to try this restaurant! They offer Teppanyaki, Shabu Shabu/Sukiyaki, Yakimeshi and Yaki Udon. Since this restaurant is better known for their D.I.Y Teppanyaki, I went for that and chose Salmon Steak. I added the meat and other ingredients into my personal pot, which is a specially designed iron plate to keep the meat sizzling hot! Sukiyaki (Seafood)! $15.90 ++. Strongly NOT recommended...because it is is SO salty..the taste of the soya sauce is SO overwhelming! I asked to add warm water in it..but it is still VERY salty! hmmm... Shabu Shabu soup base is much nicer than Sukiyaki! Will only order shabu shabu next time and replace the peanut sauce, to egg... The seafood tastes very fresh! But I prefer if they could give me bigger prawn(with shell on)..cos it would taste better.. Salmon is soft and sweet !

Located at Raffles City Shopping mall basement one where there are an array of eateries, Sho Teppan is conveniently located near the city hall MRT station. During the F1 week, together with 2 other friends, we went there for dinner. We have ordered 1 Seafood shabu shabu ($17.90), 1 wagyu beef sukiyaki ($22.50) and 1 pork shabu shabu($15.90). The seafood ingredients were relatively fresh. However, the size of each ingredient was too small/thin. The salad was average and not exceptional in taste nor freshness.Soup itself was mild salty in taste. After the cooking of the raw ingredients, there was not much of a change in its taste. It did not turn thicker nor saltier. Only 2 service staff who tended to an dinner crowd on a weekend.My suggestion will be to skip this place all together.

had this lunch deal as tea with my family. was quite worth it- 1 for 1. one set is enough to share for those who are not hungry. the self cook concept is quite popular nowadays, however, it was a sunday afternoon, i guess thats why there is not much of a crowd at the point of dining. customer service can be improved as there are quite a number of trainees. food is definitely a worth try for experience. the steamboat teppan is nice! must try, especially the salmon one! it is very fresh and tasty.

The experience at Sho Teppan was an extremely interesting one as I got to cook my own Kurobuta (layered pork) in a big pot. Teppanyaki is usually cooked by the chef. However at Sho Teppan, each person gets an individual stove and pot in front of the seat and we get to cook our own cuisine. Half-cooked, fully cooked or almost rare, it’s entirely up to you. I love the Sho Teppan restaurant located at Raffles City shopping centre. The concept is really interesting to enjoy a pot of hotpot filled with meat, vegetables, egg and noodles. The soup was fragrant and the ingredients were very fresh. I like the tenderness of the pork and chewiness of the noodles. I enjoyed the meal totally which costs around $20.

First time trying their shabu-shabu! Their ingredients and meats are all very fresh and tender. They come with a fresh raw egg to act as a sauce for your shabu shabu! Its a rather unique taste, rather special and fresh! Never try before.The place is quite cosy and comfortable. And their service is quite good too. Hope to be back to try their teppanyaki soon.
