Cheng TngThe sweetness was well balance and every spoonful was simply delightful, the ingredients e.g. dried longan, lotus seeds, white fungus and barley were well cooked to the right softness. The fine ice rather than the coarse shredded ice added on it truly makes the bowl of cheng tng the best quenching dessert in a hot day. I just love the chinese desserts at Teck Kee Hot & Cold Dessert. My favorite is the Iced Gingko Nut with Lotus Seed. The soup is light and flavourful, and it comes with a very generous serving of gingko nuts and lotus seeds. The combination of theses with the shaved ice on top makes the dessert, absolutely refreshing on a hot and sunny day. The green bean soup is also not bad. Ordered a bowl of sweet potato with dry longan for $1.80. The taste was average only. If you like something light and with lots of liquid, this would be good. It may however be a tad sweet for those who do not have a sweet tooth. The portion was just right for one person or can also be shared comfortably with 2 persons. The choices of desserts here are skewed to the traditional side.

It wasn't crowded as it was still early and this place is usually only packed at night. We ordered the Ice Jelly and Cheng Tng. The Cheng Tng was tasteless. I thought I was eating just diluted ice blended tea. Ice Jelly very Q/bouncy/springy. Mixed cocktail is from a can so it's pretty generic tasting. There are limited carpark lots, so if you anyhow park be careful of summon officers.

..............................I was in charge to bring some dessert over to a girl's night dinner and the host requested for this cheng teng. A tub at $1.70 and I requested for the cold cheng teng but with hot cheng teng's filling which sweet potato, gingko nuts and lotus seed will be given instead of those coloured jelly etc. It was really nice and of cos refreshing and can taste the strong pandan leave in it too.

This is the famous dessert in this food centre. We decided to share a cheng tng after dinner. There are option for cold or hot one but a cold one is more suited for such crazily hot weather. It served with shaved ice in longan water then added in the accompanied ingredients like lotus seeds, white fungus, longan, barley and ginko nuts. The level of sweetness was just right. It would be even nicer if the taste of longan is more concentrated.

Teck Kee Hot & Cold Dessert is a very famous stall in the Adam Road Food Centre. If you are ever in the area, you should try one of their best dessert which is their cheng tng which comes in cold or hot version. The ingredients use in the cheng tng is generous and the fungus and longan bit taste great. It is a good dessert especially on a hot day.

What could be the perfect way to complement the dinner other than having a bowl of refreshing cheng tng from this popular dessert stall.The cheng tng came with quite abit of other ingredients beside the usual dried longan, lotus seeds and white fungus with a strong longan taste at the right level of sweetness. Teck Kee Hot & Cold Dessert! Absolutely love their cold cheng tng! So many ingredients in there! The longan, fungus and many more. Perfect after a long day of work! Their bobo cha cha is good too! Very flavourful with the aroma of the coconut milk bursting in your mouth with each mouthful. Yummy!

The weather has been crazily hot lately and the nice way to cool off is none other than having a nice cooling dessert like ice kachang. This stall seemed to be a popular choice for desserts in this food centre with a regular flow of customers and it prompted me to give it a try too.The pile of shaved ice served with nicely sweet syrup and itty-bitty corns. I have always loved eating ice kachang since my young days. My boyfriend who was not an even an ice kachang person (or dessert person for that matter) found this ice kachang to be really delicious! The ice was thinly shaved and melts in your mouth instantly. A great and affordable dessert when the weather's a torture!

The prominent sign in front of the stall saying that it was recommended by Channel U caught my eye.So I just ordered the Qing Tyne, and the Ice Kachang. Both come in generous portions and less than $2.It was just the salve to a hot and humid day.
