BAKERZIN (Closed)

It was a saturday and yes.. I had to wait in line for a starking 25min at vivocity. This cake was a real eye pleaser on the menu and on the plate. It's a rather big slice the wow factor in this cake is relly the plump alcohol soaked cherries.. and they aren't stingy with these I think I had a cool 3-4 cherries in a slice. But set back will be the thick layer of whipped cream.. mousse was ok.. not too rich in chocolate either. Sponge as always airy and fluffy.. If u love cream.. go for it!

Tiramisu Cafecinno - Wow this was very creative! It my first time having Tiramisu with Coffee, they complemented so well! The aroma was so great with cocoa powder atop! Addicted to this.. Must Order!!!Grilled Barramundi - I never expected that Bakerzin can cook such a nice grilled barramundi! The exterior skin was very very crispy and the creamy sauce was fantastic!!! I wish they can put more sauce... The meat was a tad not tender enough otherwise it will be perfect! Thumbs up for this dish!Mang

Bought bakerzin macarons for my boyfriend on his birthday and we really quite like both the taste and the packaging. It isn't very expensive too ( 1 for $2) and our favorite flavor is strawberry shorkcake! the flavor is very rich and it isn't too sweet. some of the other flavor that we find it not bad too are salted caramel, mocha, green tea. I find these macarons are quite suitable to give someone on their birthday instead of giving them cake instead.

Enjoyed a slow dinner by myself and ordered my usual choice - seafood linguine. The menu said "with a touch of spice" so I asked for more spice in mine.Food came relatively fast and still piping hot. Good! Their version has cherry tomatoes in it so there's a sweetness yet tanginess blend. Nice. Seafood is also fresh so that's good. Unfortunately, my 'spicier' request was not spicy at all! Would have enjoyed it more if it's spicer I reckon. All in all a good meal and would return again.

I decided to have some tea-time break and chose Bakerzin for some cake time. The pricing is quite expensive for a small portion slice about $6+. So I ordered a piece of Tiramisu cake. The tiramisu cake top was coated with a layer of chocolate powder, the cake is nice not too sweet. also got a creamy taste, cake is spongy. Overall looking forward to dine in again.

Before meeting my friend for her birthday celebration, I had checked with her what flavor does she prefer her cake to be. She mentioned it can be either chocolate or hazelnut flavor. I have eaten at Bakerzin a couple of times mainly just for their dessertbut this time I came here for their main course. I had their pasta which tasted quite nice, soup was creamy and thick, pasta was nice. Especially their caesar salad, very fresh and crunchy vegetables, love it. Generously filled with vegetables, tastes good with Grilled fish.I had a shocked when i put the first mouth of the spaghetti into my mouth. It was indeed very delicious! The portion is just nice for me and you wont get bored having this carbonara. The cream is not thick as what I think and the bacon is no ordinary bacon from other stall. This Cookies and Cream Cheesecake is the best cheesecake I have ever eaten The cheese itself melts in my mouth and the taste is just right, not too sweet. Most cheesecakes will give you the 'sick' taste after eating some mouthful, but this cheesecake doesn't! (For me) The oreo crumbs are delightful too, a perfect compliment to the cheesecake. This Iced Mango Tea is very refreshing and is suitable to order in the hot weather. The mango taste is not too strong and there is a faint tea aroma after swallowing the drink down. The drink is not too sweet and is definitely suitable for those who does not have a sweet tooth. This is not your regular mango tea as it is more special. The portion is big too, I have half a cup of drink left even after I finished my food. The environment is suitable for chilling and the ambiance is nice too.

Ordered for rose petal tea and it is poured into four small cups that they provided us. With this, my friend and I chit chatted happily over there and feeling very light & happy with this! They have different variety of tea flavours to choose from anyway. This is called "Sweet Pleasure!". I like the appearance of the cake because it looks classy and indeed it tastes like it too!The first mouth i felt it taste like Kinder Bueno chocolate because there's hazelnut cream and there's milk chocolate ganache with fleur de sel together with chocolate mousse.The overall taste is unique because of the ganache at different layers!
