I tried out the desserts at Honeymoon Dessert last weekend. There are a lot of different desserts from hot to cold and there are also different categories of desserts available from ice cream to beancurd to pastes etc etc, you will definitely be spoilt for choice. I am a traditional person so I still preferred the traditional desserts. I got the sesame paste for myself. I felt that the sesame taste somehow seems to be lacking that day, the paste is just not fragrant enough. The paste is still rather thick but it was a disappointment because the sesame flavour did not come out. I hope it is just a once off incident since I have had this before previously and it was good.

The place is peaceful and quiet probably due to the non-peak hours when we dined here. We ordered the Papaya with white fungus. The waiting time for the dessert was average. love this dessert because it's sweet and healthy , white fungus is good for the lungs while papayas is good for the women's body and skin. Katong I12 previously known as Katong Mall to some of us 80s/90s people has upgraded their carpark and there's usually many lots there (except weekends), make sure you enter by East Coast Road, and not the TGIF side, the guards will re-route you or tell you no entry.

Service
Service is kind of slow. We waited quite sometime for everything. The waitress are gives us a feeling that they are so lethargic and drag themselves in every move.

Ambience
Ambience quite good. Located near the escalator of the mall and in an open air dinning manner. Good and cooling.

Price
Price is pretty standard. Abit steep for such dessert, I will only spend such money once in a blue moon.

Recommendation / Tips
Their service standards has to be improved.

This is a small cafe, less well appointed than its sister outlets at Bugis Junction and 313 Somerset. It is a eat & go place when we want authentic Hong Kong style desserts without paying service charge & GST. Prices are very reasonable with warm desserts like the red bean soup with lotus seeds priced from $2.80 nett while chilled desserts such as the ice blended fruit juices are priced from $3.90nett.We had the almond paste, sesame paste and walnut paste. We had the almond paste, sesame paste and walnut paste. They were all rich, thick and smooth. The almond paste is perfect for soothing parched throats. The sesame paste was fragrant & robust in flavour. The walnut paste, which is not commonly found in SG, was made from finely ground, roasted walnuts ~ it was creamy & fragrant without any greasy aftertaste that comes only when inferior nuts are used.

This dessert show located at Katong area is certainly one of the most popular shops around here. Many youngsters and students often visit this shop to have their favourite desserts. As for me, I quite fancinated by their green tea cold dessert. The green tea ice cream is very thick and creamy and full of the natural flavour of the green tea. The icy milky dressing is also very delicious which is not too sweet too. The presentation is quite nice and the price is consider quite reasonable sin

I know they are popular with their durain dessert but I wasn't in the mood for durain and wanted something warm n nice. I ordered a bowl of almond paste with sesame glutinoue ball and my friend ordered a black sesame paste mixed with walnut paste along with sago. The dessert was good, thick and creamy and yet not too sweet. Satisfying to the palette indeed after a savoury meal.

After the prawn noodle at East Coast, my friends and I decided to go to I12 Katong for some desserts. This was the place that one of my friends recommended. She said the Sesame paste and the Almond tea were good. Recently, I was quite hooked on Almond tea, so I thought I should order one. There was really lots of different type of desserts. After another look through the menu, I found a combination of my two favourite desserts, almond tea and sweet potatoes. That's it! This would be my choice.H

Hmm....the Almond tea was nice, smooth and fragrant, the sweet potatoes were soft and sweet. Not bad. Surely wouldn't mind having one again next time.

My mum went out with a group of friends and I decided to tag along. I made the right decision. We went to eat dessert at Honeymoon Dessert. I didn't have lunch, so my mum ordered a banana pancake for me. Fruits are healthy, after all. When the pancake came, my first reaction was, "So CUTE!" It was about 5cm long. The banana was nice, but the cream was fattening. Overall, I wouldn't say it was wonderful as not only was the portion small, the cream was fattening, which made it unhealthy. However,

However, I wouldn't mind ordering more. (: After eating that share, I wanted to get another, but I had to take my health into consideration, so I stopped there. I quite like this pancake, the only bad point about it is the cream. Maybe, if the amount of cream was cut down, it might be nicer. Looking at the price, it's not so worth it.

The mango pancake from Honeymoon Dessert is really disappointing. It is a mistake to order that as the serving is really pathetic. It costs $3.50 for the slice of really small mango pancake filled with fatty cream and tiny piece of mango. It is oily and I did not enjoy the dessert which was a waste of money.
