After shopping at SLS for my computer accessories, I went to the basement foodcourt to have a meal. One of my favourite stalls that remained opened for more than 10 years was the Minced Meat Noodle. I ordered the Bak Chor Mee at $4. This Minced Meat Noodle stall was very generous with the oil and lard. My bowl of Bak Chor Mee was sinful but tasted delicious. This Minced Meat Noodle stall was very generous with the oil and lard. My bowl of Bak Chor Mee was sinful but tasted delicious. The noodle was oily, slippery on the surface and springy to chew on. There were also generous ingredients such as braised mushroom, sliced pork, minced pork, fish cake, fried wanton, fishball and even a sliced of abalone. Though the abalone tasted more liked a chewy clam meat. The soup also tasted good and flavourful with the seaweed.

Overall, this Bak Chor Mee was delicious with large serving at affordable price.

This minced meat noodles is really tasty and flavourful. While the fishballs are of an average standard, the minced meat is seasoned well and has a nice soft texture to it. Their noodles are cooked to a precise timing such that the texture remains springy. With a dash of their special homemade sauce, it is a taste in the heaven as it helps to enhance the overall flavors of the noodles.

Food I have been following this stall since 12 years back. Everytime during my visit to Sim Lim Square and without fail I will order its BCM (Bak Chor Mee) at $3.50. I have never tried any other stalls other than this.Comes with 3 Shui Jiao in the bowl of soup, 1 fishball, 1 prawn, 1 abalone slice, 1 fried dumpling mixed in the minced meat with braised mushroom slices taken out from the slow cooker. The shui jiao in soup is very good. You can order separately in a bowl.ServiceSelf Service. Queue

Service
Self Service. Queues are visible and you have to wait a while before your order. A lady will take the order and once the cook had prepared the noodles, she will add the spring onion for you and collect the money. This is how their operations work. There is free flow of pork lard, vinegar and cut chilli.

Ambience
Air con food court and crowded during lunch hours.

I have no idea why I had a sudden craving for Abalone Mushroom Minced Meat Noodle. I ordered Mee Pok (chinese yellow noodle - flat) dry with chilli. As you collect your order, you can actually help yourself to the free flow of pork lard. First time I have seen such a practice. It is place along with the sauces and chilli.

Look at the portions of ingredients (mushrooms, fishball, meatball, minced meat, bean sprouts, fish cake, dumpling, lettuce, scallion) given in the Abalone Mushroom Minced Meat Noodle. The portions given are so generous, which is a rarity in food court today. Of course, only1 piece of abalone was given. A piece of dried crispy fish was added inside. The noodle was well cooked and the sauce at the bottom of the bowl contained a mixture of chilli, black vinegar and soya sauce. When tossed properly, the sauce complement the noodles nicely.

However, Hill Street Tai Hwa's version is certainty better. (Hill Street Tai Hwa's sauce was more aromatic) Still this is a very decent bowl of Minced Meat Noodle compared to those at other food courts if you are unable to visit Hill Street Tai Hwa.

This stall has been around for the longest time. It has already been there when i first came to Sim Lim Square more than a decade ago. My usual order has always been a basic bowl of mee pok dry with extra chilli added. The mee pok has always been cooked to the right texture to give it the springy texture. It served with ingredients like braised mushroom, minced meat, lean meat, meatball and fishcake. If you are a lover of those sinful fried pork lards then you must be delighted to know that the

It might not be the best mee pok dry that i ever eaten but i still come back as and when.

My friend introduced me to this Minced Meat Noodle. It is very nice! The minced meat is so nicely marinated that you can even eat it on its own! The noodles is also very tangy and smooth and goes so well with the fishball and minced meat. A great value for money! Yummy.

The minced meat noodle is pretty good at this stall. In my opinion, the noodles must leave a good bite and cannot be soggy. Further, the sauce must be good to give the noodles the taste else the noodles are bland. The minced meat noodle from this stall fits the criteria. In the noodles, you can find meat balls, minced meat, lean meat, mushroom, pig’s liver and lettuce. The mushroom is very well-cooked in the slow cooker and has a very nice dark vinegar taste. A good meal for your lunch.

This is the usual place to have lunch whenever at Sim Lim Square for shopping. It has been a regular hangout for many years now. There is a constant queue during the lunch period but the waiting is not too long as their service is pretty prompt. I always go for the mee pok dry with extra chilli with the usual ingredients like mushroom, minced meat, fishball, sliced fishcake etc. I always get a delicious bowl of mee pok after tossing the mee pok well. It has always been an enjoyment to have lunch

It has always been an enjoyment to have lunch here after getting what we wanted but it can get pretty crowded during lunch. And for those pork lards lover, you can help yourself to the free flow of pork lards available at this stall.

Recommended.

The best stall of minced meat fish ball noodle in the whole sim lim! Given with the Green Awards and other award which I forgot, for $3.50 which si a decent price for the aircon foodcourt with extra noodle portion without extra charge is super great. The portion comes with noodle (prefer dry!) and with a bowl of like 4-5 smooth soft fishballs and fishcakes slice and gohyong - totally full house on the soup! And the noodles with the delicious sauce. Ah, it's just perrrrfect and really, they didn't

Or maybe since I came at a quiet hour at 5 this time!
