As first plan to have laksa next door, but the queue is extremely long so we have dessert in the end. The stall also have queue but not as bad as the laksa's one. But if one is only ordering hot desserts, you may order at the side counter where all the hot desserts of the day are display. Something at most people do not know. The da mai (大麦) is quite thick and not too sweet.

The hot version of bo bo cha cha is much sweeter, and has cubes of sweet potatoes, yam and red rubies. The red ruby is made of water chestnut with tapioca flour coating. Crunchy but very small pieces.

Overall very tasty desserts. As the stall is quite busy, most of the tables has quite a number of dessert bowls that are not cleared. So overall the place is quite a sight. An aunty from the Laksa stall even put a stack of leftover bowls on my table, while I am still eating. (Shake head).

Every time I come here, I will always order my version of special dessert, which is Ice Jelly with milk added. The uncle always without fails will give me a face when I order this, as there is no else ordering this. I feel that the taste is less sweet and has a more creamier taste. It is a simple dessert with ai-yu jelly and fruit cocktails, topped with shaved ice and milk. A very refreshing and cooling dessert in a hot day. And it just costs $1.30.

Though the laksa next door did not manage to amaze me but this bowl of ice kachang somewhat made up for it. This ice kachang is amongst the few desserts priced at $1.30. A pile of colorful shaved ice was served in a plastic disposable bowl then topped with quite a bit of sweetcorn. The level of sweetness was just right for me but might be a little intense to some as it was a slightly sweeter. It was a hot afternoon and a good place to chilli is at this snack shop. I wanted to order honeydew sago but was told they did not have it and they suggested watermelon sago instead. So, i ordered a watermelon sago and a chendol. The watermelon sago is $1 more expensive then the chendol. The taste wise, both desserts have met my expectations. The level of sweetness was just right and with a generous bit of ingredients given. This Nice Snack Corner stall has been serving dessert for a long time, they used to sell very nice laksa here but the laksa stall shifted next door but the dessert here is still very nice. I order the ice kachang. The ice kachang is very good, the syrup drizzle on the ice is very sweet and tasty. The ingredients at the bottom of the bowl was also very nice.

This laksa in Yishun is so well known, it's just known as "928 laksa". There's something different with this laksa that brings me back to this place. The soup base has shrimp mixed into it and it's spicy, yet not too overpowering. The soup base is thick, unlike other stalls with watery soup bases.

Heard from neighborhood about this stall serves very nice laksa. Some even travel to here just to have a bowl of laksa here. So my friend and i also deliberately went to here just to have their famous laksa. Laksa comes at $2.50 or $3.00, very affordable price with many ingredient inside: fish cake, bean spout, hum etc with thick fragrant, rich with bits of dried shrimps laksa gravy. It is not as spicy as you thought, just nice.

This dessert stall is located in the shop right beside the shop where the famous Laksa is located. So, if you are a fan of that particular Laksa stall then you should have known about this dessert stall. And, i clearly remember the desserts used to be much better too. When eating it again, there seemed to be a drop in the standard.

My ice kachang looked a little dull with only red and orange color and not all part of shredded ice was 'colored'. I was a little disappointed initially but the disappointment made up by the soft and meshy red bean right below of that pile of ice. They cooked the red bean to the right doneness. There were other ingredients like atap seeds, jelly cubes, corns, too.

It might not be too bad a choice if i want something cold on a hot day and happened to be in the vicinity.

This laksa stall has been around since I was a little kid and I've been eating it since Primary School. I was never once sick of it. Even after trying all the famous katong laksa and all, I still prefer this laksa.

The laksa gravy is cooked fresh every morning with a distinctable taste of shrimps. The gravy is thick and rich. For those who has a preference for spicy food, the chilli paste is there for you to add(As much as you like) I would suggest a big spoonful of it. The noodles range from thick bee hoon. thin bee hoon to yellow noodles. being more traditional, I always have the thick beehoon one with extra see ham(clam meat). A whole scoop of see ham for 50 cents more. Well, there is already see ham in the laksa but i like a lot more. Other ingredients inside are the taupok, half an egg, beansprout(which the nice uncle will always ask if you want it, because some people dislike it), fishcake and crabmeat.
For those who prefers to takeaway, the uncle there will separate the gravy and the noodle for you so that the noodle will not turn soggy by the time you reach home and you can heat up the gravy if you stay quite a distance away. The uncle there is always so friendly, asking if school ended, is exams coming. Excellent service!
You can have the desserts there after a hot spicy bowl of laksa. Laksa followed by ice cold dessert. Always the best combination for me!
