This is the place to grab some yummy old school buns. They are priced at less than $1 per bun, which is cheaper than many neighbourhood bakeries these days. Besides the buns, I really like the egg tart. They are fragrant and not too sweet. One of the reasons I really like buying from this bakery is the uncle! I think he's secretly famous here for his "lai, zai lai!"

I had bought several pastries from this stall before. All the pastries are fresh and delicious. I especially love the fact that they opened a pastry shop in the hawker centre. I bought an egg tart for around $1.20. The crust was extremely fragrant and buttery, not crumbly at all. The egg custard itself was tangy and soft, when eaten with the crust, it tasted really delicious. A good place to look for cheap, yet delicious food! Kicked start my food journey this morning at Serangoon Gardens, the famous bakery! They serves quality breads at great prices! Bought 11 breads for $8.80 only! Bought 2 of Peanut Kaya Bread, Chicken Ham, Hot Dog & Custard Puff. 1 of Tuna, Coconut & Otah. 

The Peanut Kaya Bread, Chicken Ham as well as the Hot Dog Breads are the hot sellers on the menu, and they are also my favourites! 

Its an unusual combination of peanut and kaya, which makes the bread sweet and salty. Generally its kaya taste quite sweet, while the peanut sprinkles gives it a salty and sweet taste, which makes it a great combination! 

As for the chicken ham, they're very generous on the ham slice, and they do add cheese! Where to find a bread that cost $0.80 and have a generous slice of ham and cheese? Definitely one of the best on the menu as well! 

Hot Dog Bun is actually quite normal at most bakeries and confectionaries, but somehow, at this bakery, they serves great Hot Dog Bun! Most probably due to the texture of the bread, with the tastee of the hot dog, it gives it a perfect match.

Other breads and cakes on the menu are also worth a try! Great place to start the day off!

    Looking at the current market, if you are thinking of buying a bun, the price of a bun would range between a dollar to a few dollars. I kinda miss all the lowly priced and delicious buns. So where did all the affordable buns go? Although they don't have all the fanciful buns, but all the buns that they are selling over here are lower than a dollar. On top of that the fillings that are added into the buns are pretty generous and not forgetting delicious too. For a start, they amount of potato cur

    I always ended up with some buns whenever i am in this food centre for lunch or breakfast. My favourite has been the ham & cheese buns. The bread is light and fluffy with the filling of ham and cheese in it. I do enjoy their luncheon meat bun and curry bun too. All are equally good. It used to be much cheaper but the prices have increased. Their buns are good for breakfast or snacks with a good cup of coffee.

    I was here for breakfast with my girlfriend. We saw a long queue at this stall. When we were approaching, we smelt the aroma of fresh bread. It turned out that this stall sells those normal bun.     i am a regular customer of this stall for a long while now. It started when they were operated from one of the shop houses in Serangoon Garden till now. The standard of their buns have still be as good even after all these years. Amongst all, my favourite has always been the luncheon meat bun and the ham & cheese bun.     Amongst all, my favourite has always been the luncheon meat bun and the ham & cheese bun. These 2 types of buns are always amongst the first few to be sold out particularly the luncheon meat bun. It was sold out when i was there at about 1 pm on a Friday.

    I have to settle for the alternative which is the ham & cheese bun. I wanted to order just 1 as i just had a late lunch but all the buns were nicely packed in different packets. The assistant was telling me that they usually do so with the left over after lunch. I ended up getting 3 of the Ham & Cheese Buns.

    It still tasted as good as i last remembered. The bread was soft and fluffy with the right amount of ham and cheese in it.

    I enjoyed such simple taste.

    One sunday evening, my hubby and i went to Serangoon Garden to buy some breakfast. He recommended me this bakery stall, as the bread are very fresh. I looked at the stall, it was just a ordinary bread that i can find in other bakery store. After i have tried one bread, i can taste it was so fresh and soft. Now i know why the bakery shop always have to quene for purchase.
