Another treat from my awesome colleague, it's good to be a part timer. Anyway, this is my first time trying Sho teppan. It is really interesting because you get to cook yourself. My friend says it is another type of pepper lunch. Quite true. Both of the restaurants are tasty and nice with lots of smoke coming out from the hot plate. I ordered udon. The waitress served me and helped me with the cooking because there ain't any space left for cooking on my table. it was freaking delicious! I just l

We had dinner at Sho Teppan at Ion Orchard. As I’m a fan of soup, I ordered the soup base with pork and rice. The soup tasted great and the pork was tender as well. I enjoyed the process of dipping the pork into the soup for it to be cooked. It costs around $20 for the entire meal.

The setting of the restaurant attracted us to have a try. Before we stepped in, we were guessing what the flat stove for, steamboat, hotplate, etc. Seating was arranged by their service crew.We have ordered salmon set, beef set and crab leg ramen. There was a crew member stood in the centre as the table was in U shape. He put a sand hourglass in front of us, he served us within the sand running. We have ordered salmon set, beef set and crab leg ramen. There was a crew member stood in the centre as the table was in U shape. He put a sand hourglass in front of us, he served us within the sand running. He would do the cooking for us for salmon and beef sets. He was probably well trained, he kept his timing promptly. Food was hot while serving, taste right, price OK. It is another type of Japanese restaurant and new experience to us, at first we thought we need to cook our own food.

The crab leg ramen was a bit disappointed as crab legs wasn’t long as expected and taste quite bland, it has lost the sweet flavour. Other than this, we have no complained. We were happy with the meal though.

This japanese cuisine concept is quite new to me , especially in singapore. Firslty you have to choose meal they like , and it is a DIY meal where a pan with the chosen dish is being put over at the stove and cook it yourself , if you like your meal to be raw you can just switch off the stove and enjoy your meal . However , if you are a person who do not like to cook or smell like you just went for a bbq session , i would suggest you not to visit there . The ambience is comfortable , with photos

Tried several suki yaki. Sho Teppan's Suki Yaki soup base is the best that I had so far.One pot could be shared between 2 people with additional of another type of meat Soup can be refilled Great service!Their soup base is not too sweet too, most of the places suki yaki's soup base are too sweet.Value for money Dipping the raw egg was something I've never tried before, and their egg doesnt smell, it really makes the meat not to hot to be eaten. awesome!

Good service good food. Thumb up....Reasonable price for teppanyaki. In orchard, it's hardly to find this price for a teppanyaki. There's no queue for my 2 times visits. Wondering how come such a good place need not to queue. The place is comfortable. Staffs are very friendly and very patient to explain when our 1st visit. It makes me revisit them within a month. The meat are so tender and the sauces are just nice. Very good place for couple to go.

The black pig shabu shabu is a lil bit too oily for my liking but the service by their crew was good as they actually offer to help us cook the meat! =) Mabbie you could request that they serve you the lean meat instead of the belly meat? & for heavy -meat , you can top up the meat serving for a small amount of $3.90-$5.90? depending on the item you choose!
