But don't hope for truly authentic thai food.. it's more like your normal zhi char shop quality..
But kudos to the team there, very fast and efficient! We had all our dishes up in ard 15min.
Belachan kang kong is soso - The kangkong could have been in the wok a little longer, was still a little crispy not very soft
Star of dishes will have to be the fried calamari.. crispy fragrant and tender, not rubbery - good!
The prawn vermicelli - Prawn is fresh, but flavour of tang hoon not flavourful enough.. very mild wine flavour - sch a pity.

Prolly won't come again

I love their Deep Fried Fish, definitely one of the highlights of the evening...Everyone seemed to love it! Perfectly fried with a crispy coating without drying out the flesh of the fish...

I like this fried fish because they fried until the skin is so crunchy. There is a "sauce" served with the fish. Dip the fish into the sauce before eat. The taste of the sauce is a little bit spicy and sweet.

The tomyam soup cost $4 for a small bowl and can be shared amoung 4 friends. Its spicy and theres alot of seafood inside the soup as well.Next, I highly recommend the honey chicken, which I will surely order everytime I come. Its very sweet and tasty but the downside is it has alot of chicken skin too, not good for those who wants a slim waist line. The cereal prawn is something I recommend as well, for $10, you get 5 decent size prawn which taste decent but the prawn is not the highlight of this

They make 1 of the best cereal for its price and I highly recommend this dish for those who love to eat the cereal on the prawn. The cereal serving is very generous as well.

At Taste of Thailand, everytime I go with my friends, we each only had to fork out $10 and have a very big tummy at the end of the day.

This shop has started a few decades ago at the old Sembawang Shopping centre complex and moved to this location after they had closed down a few years ago. It still taste great and the pineapple rice only cost $3 a plate which is good enough for 2 person. However, I'm not having it today as I decided to go for plain rice to compliment my dishes.

The tomyam soup cost $4 for a small bowl and can be shared amoung 4 friends. Its spicy and theres alot of seafood inside the soup as well.

Next, I highly recommend the honey chicken, which I will surely order everytime I come. Its very sweet and tasty but the downside is it has alot of chicken skin too, not good for those who wants a slim waist line.

The cereal prawn is something I recommend as well, for $10, you get 5 decent size prawn which taste decent but the prawn is not the highlight of this dish. They make 1 of the best cereal for its price and I highly recommend this dish for those who love to eat the cereal on the prawn. The cereal serving is very generous as well.

We had salad you tiao but it taste soso only. It was good attempt though.

my absolute favourite pineapple fried rice ($8 large). this dish is one that can probably never go wrong and with the pork floss scattered on top, it's just absolutely lovely.
the chicken with lemon sauce ($6) is tender with a crispy crunchy skin. the tangy lemon sauce is a delight (:
the deep fried cuttlefish ($6) is one sinful dish which i cannot resist. this is similar to deep fried calamari, but better!!!
each piece is chewy, and coated with a crispy, crackly cover, it is so yummy!
hot, sour, spicy! tom yam soup ($3) is a MUST when you eat thai food! the robust flavour of this soup makes it oh-so-appetizing, and i love to drizzle it over my rice and other dishes, just to give them that extra KICK!
the kang kong with belachan ($4) is one of the best i've eaten. not killing-ly spicy, but enough to tickle the tastebuds, it adds a not-so-subtle spice when eaten with the pineapple rice.
the sliced fish with honey sauce ($6) is definitely one of my favourite fish dishes ever! each soft piece of fish is slathered with a generous amount of mildly sweet honey. heavenly (:
the food here is really good and affordable and if you're in a rush, the food is served super quickly so that's great! but the queue usually starts even before the restaurant opens so come early if you don't want to wait!
