Just had this sweet and sour chicken rice from this ThaiExpress outlet at Bukit Panjang. Spent about $10 for this main course which is quite expensive. Portion was not really that generous and they used simple plain rice instead of flavoured rice for this course which is too uncreative. We dropped by Thai Express for a casual dinner after work as the husband was craving for Thai Beef Noodles. Unlike Siam Kitchen's clear broth version, Thai Express' rendition of this popular Thai street food is more cloudy and tended towards the savoury end of the spectrum. We ordered their stuffed chicken wings as a side dish and that was really delicious! Their specially marinated chicken paste was embedded underneath the crispy golden brown skin and each bite burst into the juicy and mouth-watering stuffing was simply heavenly. This is definitely a must order as it's really addictive!

How romantic is that! Creating your own food at your wedding!

I love the combination of these 2 cuisine as both of them are contending for my most favourite cuisine. The amalgamation of these 2 cuisine together is an angel's gift for mankind. The soft scream crab was soft and the sauce that was poured along it made it either softer and more flavourful. Did i mention that i ove this combination!
The Jasmine Rice was also very fragrant. I often wonder what type of rice they use to cook such a nice-smelling rice.

Eating the soft shell crab together with the rice was a very good experience!

Dinner at Thai Express with a friend, i ordered the Tom Yum Talay which is the Tom Yum Seafood soup. The basil beef was kind of spicy too, but eat with rice then it was ok. it was indeed a spicy dinner.

The set consisted of the star dish red tom yum fish soup, rice with green curry chicken ball, and coconut milk sago with red atap seed. I found the tom yum soup to be a tad too creamy (perhaps too much coconut milk?) for my liking, but the fragrance and perfect spiciness level more than made up for it. The green curry chicken balls were quite unique (mixture of potato, minced chicken and green curry spices) and tasty as well. As we found the rice a little dry, we decided to “try our luck” and requested for some green curry sauce which the waiter promptly served us – that’s what I call good service!

When comes to tom yum soup, Thai Express certainly has one of the best among most of the thai restaurant. The different types of spices used in it are very fragrant and the soup taste quite spicy as well. The seafoods used in it such as the prawns are crunchy and the squids used in it are also very chewy and fresh too. Great to have it with a plate of their fragrant plain rice.

the thai style fried kueh teow from thai express. the kueh teow is the thin type, and they are not too oily for me. i like the kueh teow because they are fried with spicy sauce, and the "wok hei" is very fragrant. they are quite a lot of ingredients besides the noodles. the onions are very crunchy and the egg added fragrance to the noodle too. besides there are peanut bites and chilli powder for me to add.

both my friend and i Love Thai food. We popped by thai express for dinner last week. Ordered their spicy chicken rice, tom yum soup and soft-shell crab with vermecelli. All 3 dishes were superb! Especially the tom yum soup. Very flavourful, you can taste the pice as the spiciness is slowly buring up your throat. Haha. Thumbs up for Thai Express and we will definitely patronize again.

Not only you can find this dish at the Japanese restaurant or any seafood restaurant, here at Thai Express also has the same thing, but only it tastes even better than the rest. The crab is very soft and really easy to chewy. Full of the fragrant from the different types of thai spicies used in marinating the soft shelf crabs, which every pieces taste really delicious. It is also quite crispy and juicy, which is able to go welll with just a simple plate of fragrant plain rice.

Thai Express is always one of the safe choice if you are craving for descent Thai food with affortable price. Their Prawn toast ($7.90) is my favourite of all time. It might taste slightly oily to some people, but the prawn paste is very well seasoned, with herbs and spices. Phat thai seafood ($10.90) tastes pretty ordinary, the ingredients are quite generous, a few big prwans, some squids and sliced fish. Kway teow basil ($10.90) is such a delicious dish! Kway teow basil ($10.90) is such a delicious dish! It's so moist, full of flavours and with lots of minced meat. The slight tingling spiciness gives an extra kick to the aromatic stir-fry!

Thai sukiyaki soup ($10.90) is slightly too spicy for me. The soup is slightly sour as well, so it's actually quite appetizing. There are lots of seafood inside, quite filling.

Although I like their pad thai (best), I decided to go for healthier options this time - tried the food as shown in above photos last afternoon. I told her that I love all things spicy and sour that Thai Express is perfect for satisfying my tastebuds.

Overall, it was a good experience that you must try it out after reading this review. I am glad that we can get delicious thai food here in Bukit Panjang instead of going all the way to Golden Mile Complex or without even needing to go abroad to Thailand.

I am sure to visit this outlet every week provided someone can fetch me from Chantilly Rise.
