Went back to thai pan for the ale carte dishes. we ordered french beans and salted egg butter squid and 2 plate of rice and each of us only pay $10 each! very worth it. the french bean is very well fried and tasty. not too oily too. and the salted egg butter squid is a must order!! the squid is very chewy and fresh. and with the salted egg sauce, it taste perfect!! A highly recommended dish Second time coming to thai pan and still feeling satisfied will come back more often in future.

Thai pan is like a zichar cum thai food restaurant, located inside mandarins gardens condo which is quite inaccessible if you don't drive.There are two type of tomyum soup. Normal tomyum and spicy tomyum soup. I ordered the latter and to my disappointment the soup wasnt spicy enough! It taste like tomato soup with abit of spice to me instead, i do not recommend the tomyum soup here.Cereal chicken!! This is a must try. Totally loving it. Thaipan is still one of my favourite restaurants for thai food, along with Ah Loy Thai. I had the fried rice this time and it was rather average, but the highlight of the meal was definitely the famous butter squid, which is a must-try for all butter squid lovers - gravy was rich and thick, buttery with a tinge of spiciness, goes very well with rice. Service was also good, but may get crowded during the weekends.

Not only well-known for their butter squid, other dishes are worth a trip as well.Having more than 10 vegetable dishes to choose from, I went for Broccoli with Fresh Crab Meat ($8). The pad thai here (which is also known as their stir fry rice noodles) is one of their popular dish here. This is normallly a 'must order' dish whenever I visit this Thai restaurant. Went to try the thai pan food as my friends and i heard a lots of positive feedback from our classmates after they went to try. They said the tom yum soup is a must order. And we did ordered the tom yum soup. It really tasted very nice!!! I love its sourness and spiciness. Will definitely pay a visit to the restaurant againt!!

Indeed they do have a variety of different delicioud this food, since there was a group of us, we could order more food to share. their fried rice is really good, very tasty. their tom yum soup is a must order, it is not too spicy. Heard many rave reviews about Thai Pan, a Thai style cze char restaurant located at the eastern tip of Singapore so made the long trek down to give it a shot. Apparently its claim to fame is its quality food at coffeeshop cze char prices.The food was quite decent and the pricing relatively reasonable, at about $24 for 2 paxa value proposition that comes close to what the coffeeshop cze char stalls are offering, albeit in a much better environment with better service.

Would always pop by thaipan during lunch breaks when i was still schooling at vj, since thaipan is just a stone's throw away. Love their butter squids, just keep you craving for more. DO try it out if you've never eaten at thaipan, you dont wanna miss out good food
