Walk around Marina square and decide to have our dinner at Café Cartel.I ordered a soup of the day and today soup of the day is chicken soup, the soup is thick with tiny chucks of chicken meat in it, quite nice, just that I find it a little salty but still its nice.The garlic bread is nice and goes well with the soup. Went to cafe cartel after dinner as i remember they have 50% promotion after 9pm. Was craving for some ice cream and we ordered "Lovers Fantasy", which consists of strawberry and vanilla ice cream, strawberries, peach and kiwi. The dish is pretty decent as everything taste alright except the kiwi which is really hard and sourMy verdict : I will be back for supper next time to try out other snacks and desserts since they are all half priced after 9pm.

I bought a groupon promotion for pork rib set at Café Cartel Marina Square , here it is spacious and plenty of seats. It was my first time trying The Cafe Cartel! I have been wanted to try because its store front looks good. And it just sounds good. There are 6 of us and it was 12 noon. There was no waiting crowd and therefore the waitress could serve us quite promptly. There are set lunch and luxe sets so we ordered 2 set lunch and 2 luxe sets. This chocolate cake from Cafe cartel has always been one of my favourite dark chocolate cake. The dark chocolate flavour is really thick and I love that slight bitterness from it. The cake sponge is quite moist and not too dry, and is also filled with strong flavour from the dark chocolate too. The slice is quite big and thick, which make the price which we have paid for it quite worth while. Great to have it with a cup of their latte as well.

it has been a long time since i last ate at cafe cartel, recently just went there to try my favourite st louis pork ribs and after my meal, that dish is no longer my favourite. the standard dropped A LOT, the meat used to be so tender and nice, the ribs now is so dry and tough that i question what was i eating. the sauce is still nice but it still could not rescue the horrible meat

I had the sirloin steak set at Cafe Cartel @ marina square for lunch. Its a hot plate set, consisting of fries (those thick with ridges types) and veges (corn, tomato, long beans) as sides. The steak itself was alright, i ordered a medium but it arrived a little too rare for my liking, the mushroom sauce was quite good though they could have given me more of the sauce. The long beans were undercooked and thus too rubbery, i didn't finish them. As for the other vegetables, i have no complaints. I

We were seated outside the restaurant as there weren't any space inside for the eight of us. My friends' (some salad with cheese) was served without cutlery. When they asked for two sets of cutlery, they were given ONE set of knife and spoon, which is seriously of little use.In the end they gave up waiting for the waiters to drop by and one of them made the trip to the counter to get the cutlery herself.Besides, throughout the meal, our glasses of water were never once refilled.After the meal, o
