The Café Cartel (Closed)

This cake is really delicious.The dark chocolate taste witht the very soft and smooth texture.It is perfect.The cake has 50% discount after 930pm.It cost $3++ per piece.It is really worth because of the low price and the good taste.Sure will always go there to buy after 9.30pm.But the main course that i had there is normal only.I more like their cake.However,the choices of cake is quite limited at that time.

The cream of mushroom soup was quite diluted and I do not really taste the mushroom flavour or even the mushroom pieces in it at all. The cream used in it is also not that fragrant I am am quite upset with it as even some of the western stall's mushroom soup from the coffee shops taste even better than this. Fortunately their garlic bread has been toasted till really nice and fragrant and the outer crust is also quite crunchy as well.

i was once having bad impression of The Café Cartel before but i changed my view after then because of their ribs and cakes. they are having half price for cakes after 9pm too. and i was always tempted to get one every time i passed by, but having cakes after 9pm is too sinful.cheese baked penne is also not bad, the penne is al dente and the tomato sauce is just nice. The meat given is very generous in portion, and the cheese melted is very fragrant and added flavours to the dish.

Mushroom Aglio Olio spaghetti went to cafe cartel for a quite lunch. the photo of food shown above is the Mushroom Aglio Olio spaghetti I ordered from cartel cafe. I simply like the overall combination. first it is not too salty, second it is not too oily. the ingredients like shitake mushroom, red and green capsicum, onion and spices all are my favourite food. like it!

This pork rib dish from Cafe Cartel is definitely the best selling item and also one of the tastier dish that most of the customers will buy when they visit this restaurant. As for me, this is also my favourite choice here as well. The pork ribs are quite big in portion and it has been barberqued till really fragrant and every pieces of it are filled with the nice fragrant from the barberqued sauce used in marinating it. The french fries are also crispy and not too oily as well.

After 9 pm, all the leftover cakes are going for 50% discount. I happened to be there after the movie. There were still quite a good choice of cakes left. I selected the tiramisu cheesecake, chocolate cheesecake and the oreo cheesecake for taking away. The tiramisu cheesecake tasted the best amongst the 3 but the texture of the cake tasted a bit too soft to my liking. The cheese taste is rather mild. I guess i would just skip it even it is 50% off.

People who love to enjoy cheese cake may want to try out here. Right of the pic: Brownie cheese cake.The brownie cheese cake has a generous amount of chocolate in it. The chocolate was a little to the bitter side, perhaps they have used the bitter or semi-sweet chocolate for it. It was nice, love it .

The rodeo sauce pork rib with salad and French friesThe cafe cartel is always famous for the pork ribs, and I always feel like trying their pork ribs but yet do not have the chance to do so. So that day my friend and I were quite in the mood to have supper after rushing for project at 9pm. I suggested to go to the cafe cartel to have their cakes since their cakes will have the half price offer after 9pm. And then we were a bit impulsive to order the pork rib and 3 cakes which is hazelnut chocola

The St Louis pork ribs come with one piece of ribs, fries and coleslaw. The ribs was delicious but a little bit hard though. The fries taste normal and the coleslaw tasted a little salty for me. It was still yummy overall. I will pay a visit next time and would like to order something else if i have the chance.I like their creamy chicken soup. You can dip the bread in. Their bread is hard outer layer but soft at the inner portion. I like to eat with their butter.

Ordered the following to share with :Chicken & Garlic Butter Prawns ($18.60) : The chicken is very tender and thin. The prawns look not fresh and black.St. Louis Pork Ribs ($14.20) : As usual, the pork rib is very soft and very well seasoned. With lots of soft bones in it.Pan Fried Linguine ($15.20) : Amount seems to have reduced much since we last ordered it.+ 2 topup for soup + drink ($3.90 each) : Tasted like canned soupTotal damages : $61.20

the photo of food shown above is the finger food from cartel cafe restaurant. this platter consists of fried wedges, fried onion rings, fried nuggets, fried scallop and fried waffle fries. overall is quite nice as I like all sort of these fried food. however i will not recommend friends to eat it too often

Apart from having lunch/dinner at the café cartel, I would choose to have my dessert at café Cartel as there is this promotion where all desserts are on half price after 9pm. Such a great deal and savings! They serve really good desserts too! Like the cheesecake, which is still very good and fresh even after 9pm.
