Years ago, I tried Marmalade pantry and didn't like the food there. The selection was small and the food turned out really bad. Then last week, my friend and I decided to give it another chance (since it has been so many years). I ordered the Seared Scallop Linguini with tiger prawn bisque. The food is a marked improvement from my horrid first tasting, but still not fantastic. These scones are my favourite items whenever I have tea sessions with my fellow friends. The restaurant is quiet and comfortable, which is definitely a great venue for a good long chat. The scones are served piping hot to us, which is crunchy and fluffy inside. The strawberry jam which goes along with it is very fresh and not too sweet, great to have it with the scones. A cup of hot coffee to go along with it will be even better.

The whole experience was alright, but since this restaurant is located in the bustling Ion mall, i can understand the whole waiting time for the food was around 20 mins. We came by here to have some dessert after our main meal at a restaurant at this mall, We were hoping to have some cupcakes as Marmalade Pantry do have some popular ones but it was left with only 3 kinds and we were not keen with the choices left so we settled for some latte and decafe coffee with a old fashion chocolate cake to share among us. Initially we thought we just settled for only a piece of chocolate cake but I couldn't resist the carrot cake and so I ordered it. I always enjoyed the x'mas fruit cake(only available at year end of cos) and their carrot cake and wouldn't missed it if I were to come by here. i dropped by the marmalade pantry at ion to grab my girlfriend her favourite cupcake. She is a fan of marmalade pantry’s cupcake. I surprised her with their smore cupcake. The cupcake is actually chocolate cupcake, but unlike normal chocolate cupcakes, this one even has filling inside. More chocolate! i went to marmalade pantry on the request of my sister to buy home their cupcake for her supper. I went and got her their smore cupcake. This cupcake is absolutely to die for but also absolutely sinful. The cupcake is so rich in chocolate, even the centre has chocolate filling. It has a roasted marshmellow on the top as well. surprisingly despite the amount of chocolate in the cupcake, it was not too sweet as well. the portion is really huge too. really satisfying.

Tea time at Ion Marmalade pantry. We had some cupcakes along with tea. There are a few selections of cupcakes and we decided to go for Elvis chocolate banana cake with peanut butter frosting. Honestly, i didn't like it at all. I'm kind of a banana person who love banana infused dishes but this is just not to my liking. The banana cake was fine. It is the frosting that damaged the entire cupcake. The peanut butter was really thick and gooey. Red velvet is still the best here!
