This was my lunch today! I bought it early on my way home and left it there for almost one hour before I ate it. I thought the noodle was going to be very soggy but surprisingly, it turned out well. The noodle was still chewy and the gravy was still thick and starchy. I asked for extra vinegar as I love it sour. It tasted fragrant with the minced garlic. The lor mee was served with fish cake, ngor hiang, pork slices, cut chilli etc.

Bukit Batok Street 11 has a number of Kopitiams with popular foodstalls that have long queues. One of them is Tiong Bahru Lor Mee. I was not sure was this the same Lor Mee stall as the one at Tiong Bahru Food Centre as they shared the same signboard name. The appearance of the Lor Mee looked quite delicious with very dark brown gravy and colourful items. The starchy gravy tasted good with heavy braised meat stock and vinegar aroma. The appearance of the Lor Mee looked quite delicious with very dark brown gravy and colourful items.

The starchy gravy tasted good with heavy braised meat stock and vinegar aroma.

There were char siew, braised pork, fried meatball and crispy taupok. The fried meatball was their special item, when dipped in the braised gravy, it tasted good.

I was not sure why there was char siew and crispy taupok as they did not really taste well with Lor Mee gravy.

This shop is quite famous at the coffeeshop and almost always has a long queue especially in the morning. I ordered a bowl of Lor Mee for $3.50 (yellow noodles mixed bee hoon). The lor mee tastes better with the minced garlic and vinegar, giving it more fragrance and flavour. The noodles, especially the bee hoon, soaked up the gravy well too. There was also plenty of ingredients which made it worthwhile to buy.

The FoodI ordered Lor Mee with the dark brown sticky pork stock sauce taste smooth, strong, topped with crispy square bits, pork belly slices, char siew, ngoh hiang, fish cakes, fried wantons, meat balls , red cut chillies and garlic with dash of vinegar. I have been eating at this stall for the longest time. I am still a regular supporter after they moved to this current location. They used flat yellow noodle to go with the thick and sticky braised sauce. I always paid the extra to add the extra amount of ingredients to my noodle. They serve their Lor Mee with a lot of fried items and amongst them, my favourite is the ngor hiang and braised meat. This is a must try for all the Lor Mee Lovers.

This is another original Tiong Bahru Lor Mee that moved from the already demolished old Tiong Bahru Food Centre. This stall is usually in comparison with the other stall at Bukit Purmei. I was told both of them are relatives. The braised sauce here is thicker and more gooey. It came with those yellow flat noodle with ingredients like braised meat, braised egg, ngor hiang and some other fried items. This is one of the best Lor Mee that i ever eaten.
