Fried chicken cutlet with sweet scramble egg sauce serve in hot pot. The egg is separate from the sauce. When it start to serve, the waiter break the egg then pour in to the hot pot. And start to heat with the portable gas stove. Overall the sauce is very nice when it come together with chicken and egg. The chicken is so crispy and the egg is just so fresh. Just the sauce can be more as it is too delicious. I like the environment there.

This is my first time trying Watami! I heard from my brother that the service at JCube is different from the branch at town. The food was awesome. We have ordered the set meal for two and we have chosen the Tokyo Shoyu Ramen, kimichee Nabei, Tompeiyaki and Yuzu Soda. The portion for two is huge! They serve an appetizer of salad as well. The salad was fantastic, the slices of chicken, seaweed and their cold Tuna Mayo dressing make the whole salad very delicious. Their salmon sashimi is very fresh

However, the kimchi nabei is not to my liking, I prefer the original due to the diluted taste of kimchi which I was not very used to the taste and smell. The yuzu soda is rather an unique drink. It has pomelo saps and the mixture of soda makes the drink rather frizzy but not too gassy. The Tompeiyaki is indeed very yummy, with their specialize sauce and the mayo with various kinds of vegetables wrapped inside like onion, cabbage, pork and they used egg as the outer layer to wrap all the dishes inside. With the combination of cheese, it was heavenly! Overall, I must say my experience to watami was quite a pleasant one.

When you ordered set meal for two at Watami Japanese restaurant, you get so much food that can actually feed for three person I reckon. We then get to choose one main dish and one hotpot. Ishiyaki Sutamina Don is the Tokyo specialty pork rice with egg yolk, served in stone pot. The sizzling rice is aromatic tasty. The egg yolk gives a moist texture to the well-flavoured pork rice, delicious.

Konbu Dashi Sumo Nabe (Sumo wrestler's hotpot) has so much ingredients in it, namely pork slices, vegetables, clams, tofu etc, the natural sweetness of the soup is nice to go with Udon noodles.

For the side dish, we chose the Wafu Pizza. This is a must try I reckon. The pizza base is thin and crispy! The topping is well-marinated, good flavour and very appetizing!

When you order the set meal, you get to order up to two desserts with half price. We had the Matcha Tiramisu ($2.4) and Sumiyaki Coffee Jelly ($2.4). The tiramisu is yummy, the green tea mousse layer is rich and smoothly creamy. The Coffee Jelly on the other hand is not my favourite. Slightly bitter.

Watami at JCube always packed with diners. Even on weekdays, one might need to queue for a little while before seated. On our first visit, we ordered Mentai cheese tamago yaki ($6.8) as an appetizer. The omelette roll which stuffed with cheese and cod roe has a very nice texture, very eggy taste with a hint of fishiness. Watami tonkotsu ramen ($13.8) is served in special pork broth, very flavourful but slightly too salty I reckon. The marinated pork slices are tasty though! The Nagasaki ramen ($

The Nagasaki ramen ($13.8) is served in tonkotsi soup, with lots of sliced cabbage, corn and little prawns. I prefer this soup base compared to the tonkotsu ramen, but it's still slightly too salty for me!

As for the desserts, we ordered the very good looking Jikasei milk pudding ($4.8). The homemade milk pudding is so smooth and creamy, with a full blast of milk flavour! Thumbs up!

Hot choc brownie ($6.8) on the other hand tastes alright. The chocolate brownie is moist and compact, together with ice-cream & chocolate sauce, it's sinfully good.
