Settled my late lunch at Wendy’s, it was known of its specialty sandwich. Self-service basis as most of the fast-food chain did, the clean comfortable surroundings and fast efficient service were pleasant. I queued, placed order and sat down to enjoyed, waiting time was acceptable. It was opened all-day, 24 hours daily.Burger was filling and juicy, definitely a premium quality patty in bun. Nothing much to describe for fries, golden deep-fried finger food was undeniably crispy and tangy. Talking about plate of baked potatoes, it was the classic side dish. My first time having Wendy's and it was a disappointment. I feel that I didn't give it justice because Wendy's is known for their beef burgers and I didn't try their signature.They didn't have beef burgers as an option for breakfast though.The breakfast sets are quite pricey and the food that comes along is quite a small portion, however, the food is kept hot.I had the Egg Sausage Burrito (not pictured) and it looked glorious on the display picture..When it came I had to confirm that it was truly what I had ordered. I believe the eggs not the instant type of eggs cause I had small bits of eggshell inside. Located at Liat tower, Wendy's can be easily access via public transport and there is also a big open carpark nearby for drivers.I have heard a lot about how good Wendy's is in America but have not tried prior to it. The fried chicken was rather dry looking but the meat was reasonably tender. The burger was rather big as compare to the "mini" burger from other fast food eateries. Had my lunch here, ordered Beef Baconator Single Combo Set Meal. The beef burger come with 3 strips of beef bacon, i not like it so much cause is too hard to bite and chew. Wendy's not something that will appear at the top of my head when I think of Fast Food, perhaps because it hasn't existed for a long time in Singapore thus it is losing its' marketing appeal now that it does not advertise but only uses promotional coupons. Ah, I thought I should put up the promotional poster so that you can actually tell the difference between the actual product and what has formed in my mental state from looking at the poster. It was a hot a humid day and I was feeling really hungry. The more humid the weather is, I will think about all the unhealthy food. Getting sick of the "M" fast food so I decided to walk over to Wendy's as it is within 5 minutes walking distance from the place I work. It was crowded as usual during lunch hour, with no available seats indoor all due to inconsiderate people leaving their whatsoever belongings on the table to "chop" it (Y they no use hand phones instead?!) and also chitty box people who sit there and chit chat till end of the world and no giving up their seats to poor hungry patrons like me. So, I have to take the outdoor seats where the nightmare is.As for the food, I ordered one of the most unhealthy food in the menu - DAVE'S HOT AND JUICY 1/2 POUND BURGER DOUBLE COMBO. The name itself is scary enough to scare all those slim girls but of cos, not me. Comes with 1/2 pound of beef patty, Fries and Drinks. The burger is very juicy and difficult to eat (cos of the size) and I have to take out one meat patty before continue to munch of my burger. I like the fries as it is very different from the "M" fast food. There's even potato skin on it to make it more "real" like hand cut fries. Nothing special about the drink as it is just the normal coke.Now for the nightmare. As you know orchard is well known for the.... birds flying around during evening hour. But I never know that the place is infested with CROWS. Scary crows to snatch your food with you! Once the diners finished their food and if there's any leftover... THE CROWS WILL ATTACK THE FOOD SHAMELESSLY. I have to be careful not to be their next prey once they finished off the first table, and instead of enjoying my burger happily, I have to eat real fast and escape from the scene. The Wendy's outlet at Liat Towers B1 is my favourite partly because of the super cool aircon and free wifi and partly because the crew are always helpful, friendly and attentive. Staff here will always help out with trays, holding open the doors and are prompt with clearing tables.I ordered three items a la carte - baked potato with broccoli and cheese $3.90, caesar side salad $2.60 and small coke light $2.30. Caesar salad was nice with zesty dressing and crunchy croutons. The baked potato was smooth and fluffy but I didnt like the heavy tasting melted cheese. Since i had not eaten at Wendy's before, decided to give it a tryOrder the Beef Deconator Burget set meal which comes with a medium sized coke and small friesThe burger comes with thick, juicy Beef patty ,with generous serving of mayonnaise and BBQ sauce. Good thing Wendy's gives out those discount coupons that I get to try their Premium COD Fillet combo. What I love most about Wendy's is their Natural-Cut Fries!! I go ga-ga for it! Lol. :mad: Anyway, granted it wasn't too bad. It was actually rather tasty. For the price I figured it should be. It has a special tartar sauce and the size of the fish is just right for the bun. :)Overall, the flavor and the size is good. And thanks to their discount coupons cos for me, the actual price is really quite expensive for the food. had lunch here in town at Wendy's for the 1st time, previous visits were all for sengkang outlet. this liat towers outlet is much bigger in size with nice decoration etc. seats are comfy and adjacent tables are not too cramped as well. i ordered the beef baconator meal and had my fries changed for a all beef chili instead. did not know the set meal cost $8+, was expecting mcdonald's prices :). Like the beef, bacon and meat patty combination, kind of special i must say. Overall a good eat, not the usual orchard eatery i must say.
