I saw on Mediacorp Channel 8 recommended this bakery at Sunset Way for their swiss roll. Hence, I went over to the bakery to have a try. Their swiss rolls were all chilled in fridge, many flavours were available, such as chocolate, kaya, strawberry, etc. I bought the Chocolate Swiss Roll at $5.

From the appearance, the chocolate swiss roll had generous amount of chocolate cream as thick as the cake layer. The chocolate swiss roll had soft and fluffy cake layer. The chocolate cream did not taste like cream, having smooth thicken jam liked texture, it tasted more like rich chocolate custard.

Overall, the chocolate swiss roll was delicious, both the cake layer and the custard complement each other.

Whenever I was alighting at Jurong East MRT and walking down the escalator, I could always smell the buttery aroma of bread from this bakery kiosk. Since I was cravy for some snacks, I bought a cheese bread from this bakery. The cost was $1.30.

The cheese bread had a very cheesy and buttery aroma, even after eating and washing my hands, I could still smell the buttery aroma from my fingers. The bread texture was soft and fluffy, though not as fluffy as Bakers Talent ones. The buttery cheese on top was baked until crispy and it tasted good.

Overall, the cheese bread from Ananas Deli was good and affordable.

My friend and I had heard about nice and cheap food at Airport staff canteen but we were unable to find the place. We asked the staffs around for direction and we finally manage to find the staff canteen after walking through a carpark and taking a lift.

Most of the stall's menu show two prices, one for staff and one for public. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Chop with Mushroom Sauce at $5.40.

The Grilled Chicken Chop with Mushroom Sauce did not have french fries, instead was given fried potato. The fried potato with onions was very nice. The grilled chicken meat was tender and juicy, though the meat was slightly bland. The mushroom sauce was good with bits of button muchroom. It tasted salty and savoury, good to eat with the chicken meat.

Overall, the Grilled Chicken Chop was good, the prices also affordable as compared to all the expensive eatery at public airport area.

There are many Rochor Beancurd stalls around Singapore. I am not sure which was the original one. Today I pass by Geylang Road and saw another Rochor Beancurd stall. This Rochor Beancurd stall not only soya bean products but also egg tart, you tiao, glutinous rice, buns, etc.

I ordered the Soya Beancurd, egg tart and you tiao.

The soya beancurd was piping hot. The texture was smooth and slippery when slurping into the mouth. The sugar syrup on the beancurd was mild sweet.

The egg tart had a nice aroma of egg and butter. The taste was good with crispy skin on the crust and eggy custard in the middle.

The you tiao was a bit disappointing, it was over fried, the whole dough absorbed too much oil.

Overall, this Rochor Beancurd was a good place to have their soya bean products, though it maybe very warm to dine in the non aircon area.

While waiting for my friend outside the MRT station, I went to buy a soya ice cream from Mr Bean to cool myself down in the hot weather. The price of the soya ice cream was $1.50 now.

The orginal soya ice cream was in soft served type similar to McDonald's one. Though the taste was totally different. The taste was mild sweet with soya bean milk taste. I felt like eating frozen soya bean milk. The soya ice cream taste was also not oily, unlike those from McDonald's.

Overall, this soya ice cream was delicious and I hope they sell in tub so that I could buy takeaway home to feast.
