brunch Itadakimasu! Smile Mar 10, 2011

The awesome lunch set for only $11 that includes a ramen bowl, fried rice, chicken katsu, and the refillable ice matcha tea. OMG Simply superbbbbbbb, total bang for your buck and the taste is definitely better than Yoshinoya and you get so much more. mad

It comes after a while so you have to wait. But the fried rice was really good, although I know its not exactly the real japanese rice, the taste was oily nice - you could feel each bit of rice.

You could choose the ramen soup base and which meat. Total customization - perfect to eat like a queen for brunch lunch and skipping the rest till eating like a pauper for dinner!

Kireii Pan! Smile Mar 10, 2011

beautiful and healthy bread is created by the chef maestros mostly from japan, and the breads from this store is not only pretty in its looks but also in the heavenly taste for the cakes!

I bought myself a chocolate croissant with some green stuff on top for $2 I forgot and since i was hungry I didnt manage to take a photo of it. It was in my tummy so shall I take a photo of my tummy instead of how satisfied it is? tongue

The chocolate inside is dark, so the noir chocolate taste is really rich, tad sour but just perfect - could taste that it's 100% chocolate and they don't mix with any other ingredient to kind of fill the whole thing like other mass baked breads. The chocolate fill is super super super super super good and the croissant, you could fill the layers of croissant. Super!

OK since OR is doing this first to review thing, I must scour out instead of the one in Central with a long Q, decided to come here and voila! It wasn't so bad in the Q and manage to get our ramen bowl faster.

Trying the vegetable this time, with me being half vegetarian for this lent season although sorry for the soup but its still just liquid so I think it should be still OK tongue

There's not much difference thank goodness, veggie or with chasiu! Ho ho ho Although the soft pork meat is just grrrreaaaaat. I was so hungry I took the photo midway. tongue

Taste-wise its the same so you can expect the same standard for Marutama anywhere.

prawn - not spicy - carbonara Smile Mar 10, 2011

Rather than ajisen ramen which really is not ramen after you tried the best ramen in town, thank goodness for waraku, plus the fact that batavia air is at T2 instead of 1! Hooray. T2 has more good food!

Ordered this dish for the first time because the peeled prawns looked good on top of the carbonara sauce ($14.80). It came ultra fast, after the measly normal salad that comes along with the pasta, i think in less than 10 minutes, my dish came out! Also they refill immediately without me having to call them to ask for a fill. Even could choose whether you want warm, ice, or hot water. Tops for the service. smile

Dish was well, as expected, NOT SPICY. Well well, nothing new in Singapore. So the parmesan cheese and chilli powder and black pepper came to aid - the cheese made the sauce creamier and rich in the taste with even more tangy and salty, the chilli which just adds a little spice with the black pepper.

Quite a lot for a portion though, the spaghetti is cooked just right, as springy and not too soft and hard. With the salad, the whole portion just sits nicely!

Then I had a good rest on board the plane all filled up.

tako tako tako tako Smile Mar 09, 2011

Super awesome that they've expanded after ION! I dunno why they open in Bedok but lucky for me while I was visiting out of the blue I introduce this to my cousin who never has tried it before (Is she crazy?! Yes.) tongue

So we tried the egg mayo on top. I don't know the difference until when they prepared, its the same takoyaki they make but this time instead of the fish flakes they do for topping, its an egg/mayo mix.

The taste gives a richer and creamier overall to your whole bite of the tako! SUPER DELICIOUS. Will always get this one. But the fish flakes are still OK too.lol

always, always get it with the matcha float. They're nicer here too - the ice cream was much given much more and it was heavier than the one i buy in ION! Tee hee!

Recommended Dish(es):  egg mayo takoyaki, ice float matcha
