Muslim lunch OK Jul 13, 2012
Categories : Malay | Hawker Centre | Halal

I had my lunch at the Arts canteen the other day. I ordered food from the Muslim stall for the very first time as my favourite stall in the canteen was closed on that day. I had the Mee Siam, which only costs $1.20. The portion is just nice, with a whole hard boiled egg inside. The soup is slightly too sweet for me, and I reckon it's too oily.

I also ordered a side dish - stir-fried bitter gout with egg ($0.50), the dish is quite nice with good flavour.

Mixed rice OK Jul 13, 2012
Categories : Food Court

Although this mixed rice stall does not have too many choices of dishes, but all of which look delicious. I ordered the curry vegetables, stir-fry broccoli, and sweet sour pork. The curry vegetable is my favourite. The cabbages, long beans, bean curd sheets etc are cooked till soft in texture, and absorbed full flavour of the not-so-spicy curry gravy, very nice to go with rice. The sweet sour pork on the other hand is slightly disappointed. The coated flour is a bit too thick, one could barely taste the meat well.

Minced meat noodles OK Jun 28, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Zi Char | Noodles

This tiny eatery offers mainly Taiwanese food. I ordered the Stewed meat noodles ($5.50), and it tastes quite good. The noodles is topped with lots of minced meat and one whole stewed egg. The flavour is good with strong aromatic five-spices taste.

The Steamed pork bun ($5.50) on the other hand is quite a disappointment. The skin is rather thick, and the meat inside is slightly too dry.

Economic steamboat buffet OK Jun 28, 2012

It's my first visit to Seoul Garden. First impression: very crowded and packed with teenagers. You can easily order the ingredients from the computer, but some food are not categorized properly hence hard to find.

The steamboat set also comes with the grill section, you can either put the ingredients into the hotpot, or cook them on the grill.

The seafood and meat served are fresh and most of them marinated pretty well.

There's also a corner of ready food for you to eat. You could find appetizers, noodles, fries, desserts, cake etc here. Quite a good variety though they taste nothing special.

Small pot noodles OK Jun 15, 2012
Categories : Food Court

The small pot noodles consists of a bowl of dry noodles (you can choose either thin noodles - mee kia or flat noodles - mee pok). The mushroom gravy is quite well done. The soup has plenty of stuffs inside. I quite like their minced meat, and the meat balls.

Their roasted chicken noodles is quite alright too. I like the slightly crispy skin of the roasted chicken, though the meat is a bit too dry because it's the breast part.
