Good deal Smile Jun 15, 2012

This Western stall considers pretty new to NUS Science canteen (compared to other stalls), and since opening, it always has long queue. I ordered the chicken chop ($3), and with the main course, I get to choose three side dishes. I chose baked bean, coleslaw and sweet courn kennels. Other choices of side dishes include pasta salad, fries and hash brown. The chicken chop is quite big in portion, and retain the juiciness of the meat very well. Good deal.

Great burgers Smile Jun 15, 2012

Pulled pork ($12.8). The slow-cooked pork being fork-pulled into slices kind of, with very tender texture. The barbeque sauce is rich, but not overly salty though. The burger filling is topped with crunchy slaw without mayonnaise, and generous amount of coral lettuce and tomato, making it a balance-diet meal.

We also tried their signature burger, duck confit ($16.8). The whole boneless duck leg confit is grilled with a touch of their handmade orange sauce. With a hint of citrus, very appetizing. The filling also includes baby snow pea sprouts, few slices of sweet mandarin oranges, lettuce and tomato! Indeed a must try signature burger!

economic rice Smile Jun 14, 2012

It only costs $3.5 for the rice with 4 dishes, indeed very economic. I ordered 2 vegetables dishes, pan-fried egg with onion, as well as a piece of deep-fried minced meat patty. The uncle gave the dishes generously. Taste good too. The minced meat patty is recommended pick. The meat is well-seasoned, full flavour of spices. Deep-fried till golden colour, it creates a slightly crispiness outside, very delicious.

Fresh seafood Smile Jul 27, 2012

This seafood restaurant is famous for the giant groupers dishes, however we didn't order any of them. What attracts us more is the KL style fried Hokkien noodles. The dark sauced noodles might not have glamorous look, but the taste is fantastic and authentic!

The pumpkin tofu is very delicious and goes well with rice. The pumpkin puree sauce is slightly sweet, together with some crab meat and shrimps, it's very appetizing. The tofu is silkily smooth too.

We also ordered some seafood. The fried flat noodles is covered with starchy egg gravy and topped with giant big head prawn, thumbs up! The prawns are super fresh and crunchy!

The garlic grilled prawns is another recommended dish if you don't mind to have garlic breath.

Vietnamese pork noodles Smile Jul 16, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Vietnamese

This Vietnamese stall serves good beef and pork noodles. I did not feel like having beef that day, hence I asked for pork only noodles. The owner of the stall is so kind to give me so much extra pork to replace the beef. Too much I reckon. I like the soup base. It has a tiny hint of lemongrass, naturally sweet and slightly spicy caused by the chilli. It is just simply appetizing! Good meal with lots of vegetables too.
