Soup & rice Smile Jul 13, 2012

There are plenty of soup choices in this stall, all seems to be very good. I ordered the apple soup with pork ribs. The soup is very clear, not too oily like some stalls around. The natural sweetness of the apple is very tasty, the pork ribs add in extra meaty flavour to the soup. Instead of plain rice, I had the pumpkin rice. It tastes fragrantly yummy, and it's definitely a good healthier choice.

Medz is a place where you can choose different food from different stalls. After ordering the food at the stall, you will be given a device, which will beeps with blinking light when your food is ready.

The Seafood paella ($15) from the Spanish stall tastes quite good, very rich in seafood taste, with generous amount of seafood given.

Pasta Carbonara ($14.5) from the Italian stall is highly recommended. Very creamy and rich in bacon flavour, it's such a comfort food. It's quite filling too.

If you pay the bill by UOB or DBS credit card during dinner time, you will get 10% off.

Fast food with salad Smile Jun 28, 2012

I had the Shrimp sandwich combo set ($6.95) consists of shrimp burger, side dish and a drink. I'm very impressed by the fact that I can choose garden salad instead of the fries for side dish.

The shrimp sandwich is tasty, the shrimp patties is deep-fried till very crispy and has good flavour, though there isn't much sauce on it.

I also ordered the six pieces of chicken nuggets ($4.4). Again, very crispy and could be very addictive.

I always go to Ji De Chi for their durian desserts, and didn't really try out other options. Howvere, now only I realized their soya beancurd dessert is actually quite nice. This silky beancurd has such a strong flavour of soya beans and the texture is pleasantly smooth. Very tasty and not too sweet. It tastes so delicious and refreshing when it is served cold. Yummy!

Fish noodles Smile Jun 15, 2012

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong

If you don't see the menu carefully, you might not know that this stall actually sell fish/prawn noodles apart from the char siew, rosted chicken/ duck rice or noodles. I ordered their fish noodles ($5) the other day. The portion is huge and very filling. What so special about this fish noodles is that it contains lots of preserved vegetables, giving a hint of sourness to the soup. It also contain some Chinese wine and quite a few chopped chilli in the soup. The multi-flavours is very satisfying!
