Not my type of Noodle OK Dec 03, 2013

Went to Marine Parade Market for Lunch...

Can't find any thing special until seeing this store at the left end corner and wanted to try since there is a short queue forming.

The shop owner quite nice so I ordered a bowl of dry noodle up size @ S$4.50.

The presentation of the noodle looks good, I am very excited to try it.

But once I tried the gravy is not the kind of taste I like, is a bit sweet.

Some of the beef is a bit rubbery. Some are tender, so not very consistent.

Overall the taste is ok, not excellent but with that price @ S$3.50 for a normal bowl can try.

Although I still prefer the Beef noodle food chain in food court and the one at Raffle's Place MRT.

Disappointing Dinner Cry Dec 02, 2013

Son went camping so we didn't cook today and plan to have a simple dinner at Uncle Leong.

I tried their food 2 months ago and it is good so tot why not brought my family to try.

We reached there at 8pm. The restaurant is only 30% occupied, as only 3 adults and 1 child we just ordered a medium bee hoon, their famous mee goreng and coffee pork ribs.

If come with a big bowl of peanuts before serving. Food came in within 10mins...

Beehoon with gravy are too blend no taste at all, very disappointing.

Mee goreng not spicy enough and a bit too sweet, not what I like, feeling sad already.

Pork ribs is not even hot, like put in the kitchen for a long while. This is super disappointing.

Went I comments to the waitress about their dishes, she mentioned that if I come next time I should tell them before hand.

I told her frankly that I will not want to come again anymore...

Mother in law said that peanuts are the best dish after all. lol...

Total we spend about S$42 with 3 drinks, their drink are not expensive though only S$2 per cup.

My Favourite Noodle in Singapore Smile Dec 02, 2013

Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Coffeeshop

They had shifted to the following address :- Kim San Leng Eating House, 1382 Serangoon Road, Serangoon, 328254.

I started visiting their shop 7 years ago, even after they shifted to this not so convenience place I will still wanted to come here at least 1 time a month. To me they serve the best noodle in town.

Every time we will ordered 2 bowls of dry noodles, 1 bowl of soup noodle and a fish cake.

I love to ask for extra dry sambal chili to go with the fish cake.

Uncle the cook made the thin noodle very Q and the sauce going with the dry noodle are tasty and blended well with all the ingredients. Although is just S$3.50 their selection of meat, fishcake and others are fresh and never over cooked. Love to add extra sambal chili to the dry noodle is spicy but super yummy.

Their soup is cooked with a whole chicken, very thick and delicious.

They will serve the noodle to you but at time the queue are quite long.

Although the crowd reduced after the shift but good that they didn't lowered their standard and I am sure that if those old customer know where they shifted will go back again.

A simple breakfast with choices Smile Nov 29, 2013

Categories : Café

This simple shop provide traditional kopi and bread, but they have more choices other than the normal kaya, sugar toast...

They have a choice of Ham, Cheese or egg bun. You can choose your own ingredients and there are 2 kinds of buns. Don't need to follow what is on the menu, if you need more things just inform the cashier they will add for you with a price.

Their buns are soft and warm. Food served are made when you order therefore they are fresh and tasty.

Order the food at the counter and make payment and proceed to collect the drinks all food will be serve by the aunties working in the café. A small but friendly eatery house.

This is the 1st time coming to this restaurant which is a few bus stop away from our office.

The shop is full of people but we are still able to find a seat for 5 of us, it is non aircon but windy.

There are a stack of order form on the table, just tick what you need and proceed to the counter for ordering.

Payment is done and food will be served after that.

I can say that their service are quite fast for a busy afternoon.

1st we ordered 1 plate of Fried Dumpling which cost us S$5.

Big bowl of noodle is S$5.50 and small @ S$4.50.

Drink at S$1.50 each so total spending on that day is S$8.

The chili is very spicy and I didn't add into my noodle, just with the sauce in the noodle is tasty enough for my liking.

The noodle is very springy, those kind of noodle that I like to eat.

I ordered big bowl that day but I think small one is good enough for me.

Will definitely bring my family here to try their noodle again.
