Icy Ching Teng Smile Aug 01, 2012

After a round of the savory main meal it was time for dessert. The weather was terribly hot and the only desire was to quench the heat with icy cold stuff. This stall has many varieties and most of them are interesting and really nice and creative. I ordered the tradition ching teng with dried pessimon, green beans and barley etc. All these made the ching ting very 'rich' in taste and nice.

To start a day with a local brewed coffee will be good for a restless body and mind. This stall was next to the noodle stall that I had bought and conveniently I ordered a kopi to go in a foam cup at $1.00. The coffee was good and thick and ot too sweet eventhough I didn't request for it . It was an instant boost to my weakling body and quite aromatic and the coffee was filled near to fullest of the cup.

One of my favourite wanton noodle stall. I have been patronizing them less than a year but am already very happy that the taste has been consistent. The lady owner is extremely friendly and she has never in a foul mood. I like both her wanton and shrimp dumplings noodle, both meat fillings are well marinate and fresh. Be it you have it dry or soup, both are just as good. The soup broth is thick and no msg and usually I will add another $1.00 wanton on top of the $3.00 a bowl of noodle.

Balonglong Juice Smile Jul 29, 2012

The weather was extremely hot and my thirst was not quenched with my first glass of drink and I went to look for a juice. The Balonglong juice stood up on the signboard and I thought I will make a try as I never drank it before. It was $2.50 a glass and I really loved it as I thought it would be sour but it was not at all and on top of it sour plum was added in it to give it a really nice taste.

Didn't think we will end up eating here. But there were not many choices of eateries at this mall so we gave this restaurant a try. We ordered their in house speciality stewed pork(Dong Por Rou), meat roll(Hei Zou) and a fish hor fun. Was pleased with their food, the taste was good with ingredients that were fresh and the pork was well stewed and the meat roll was crispy and not oily. Will visit this restaurant again.
