Special cha cha ramen Smile Jun 14, 2013   (Related Review)

Categories : Japanese | Ramen

Went back to try the special cha cha ramen at promotion price of $7.50++.
Although, queue was evidently long, service was considered fast. They even employed part-time to help out with the event so as to shorten serving time! smile

Just 2 comments, egg yolk was a little shaken up and not as gooey as how I liked it & the soup was filled with fats!! shocked Maybe the chef was too busy with tons of orders coming in that he didn't have time to remove all of them.
Nevertheless, taste-wise, it was out of the world! lol

Be sure to go down to their outlet to try their ramen. You won't be disappointed. smile

Chicken cutlet & fried salmon Smile May 27, 2013

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Restaurant | Noodles | Rice

This is my uncountable time eating at Just Acia. I just loved the prices, the food, the environment (free seating) & especially free flow ice-cream and drinks.
All sets comes with free flow drinks & ice-cream. There are the usual soft drinks, tea, coffee, more unusual are root beer, green tea sachets, hot chocolate, peach tea, lime juice & home-made milk tea.
The veriety of ice-cream changes slightly day to day. But most of the time, there are chocolate, raspberry, strawberry, coffee & vanilla. Sometimes, you can see mint, cookies & cream as well as coconut ice cream.

Chicken Cutlet set
Very tender & juicy insides. You can see the juice on the meat. There are 2 strips of chicken instead of one! lollol

Fried Salmon set
I feel that it is overly fried and the fish loses most of it's rich omega-3 oil. sad

Overall, I would still enjoy dining at this outlet as the staffs are very friendly & they won't bother you too much.

My husband & I chanced upon this ramen outlet at Paragon while queuing for another restaurant nearby. The price for each bowl of ramen was reasonable & it looks very appetizing. Hence, we decided to give up waiting & went in.
We were seated very promptly & our noodles were served within 10mins after orders were placed. Amazing service on a Sunday!!

I liked the way they described each type of ramen at the top of their menu; giving us an idea of what is the soup base and the ingredients included in the particular ramen.

Menu

Cha Shu Shoyu Ramen. $15.80
I was abit hesitant as this is the first time I'm trying a shoyu soup base. It turns out it is not as salty as I expect. smile
However, personally, I still prefer the chicken or pork bone broth. tongue
The noodles were springy and yummy! Usually, I'll give my husband half of the noodles but this is the first time that I don't mind adding more noodles! That shows how yummy it is!! lollol

Daikokuya Tsukemen. $13.50
My husband ordered the dry ramen which comes with a bowl of soup to dip in. Interesting~mad
If you want to drink the soup, ask for clear broth to be poured in. Beware of the saltiness of the soup. I tried the soup after it was mixed with the clear broth and still finds it too salty for me. tongue

Healthy fare @ reasonable prices Smile May 20, 2013

My family & I were deciding what to have for dinner when we saw the poster of this store. Decided to try it as it is new & it just opened on that day! Everything at the store is cooked by steaming which greatly cuts down on fat intake & retaining most of the food nutrient. Healthy eating at it's best! =D
We ordered 2 dishes & 1 bowl of brown rice.

Fish paste in tofu.
The entire dish is smooth & portion is quite generous.

Chicken with black fungus, wolfberry and Chinese asparagus.
Among the lot, this is my favourite! Super awesome taste! The excess sauce, containing the essence of chicken was poured into e soup as it is too good to waste even a single drop.

There was a choice between xiao bai cai & cai xin. We chose the latter.
Vegetable was delicious! As vegetables was cooked on the spot when ordered, results: no overcooked yellowish vegetables. Excellent!!

yummlicious chicken pot pie Smile May 18, 2013

My friend is in love with Kenny Rogers so we went for dinner there. There was a slight queue on Friday night as the outlet was short-handed. Staffs were friendly and were trying their best to attend to all customers asap. Kudos to them! =)
Hot-just-out-of-the-oven corn muffin for each person was served super quickly after orders were placed. It gives us something to fill our hungry stomach while waiting for our mains.
I always go for the chicken pot pie whenever I go to Kenny Rogers. As always, it never fails to arose my palate! =D

chicken pot pie

chicken pot pie.
It comes in a bread bowl which remains extra crispy all through the meal which was fantastic!! There are chunks of chicken, potatoes & carrot in the rich creamy soup.
Together with the chicken pot pie, it comes with 2 sides which you can choose from an array of hot & cold choices. Mine were mac & cheese and potato salad.
The mac & cheese is flavourful and quantity of cheese is very generous which is a bonus!
The potato salad has big chunks of red-skin potato in cream sauce. Super tasty as well!

I will definitely be back to hopefully try other recommended dishes like their roasted chicken.
