Egg Tart (S$1.50/pc)Surely one of our top picks now in Singapore. We heard people before us were buying by the dozens and were wondering if it was as good as it sounded. We liked the delicate touch to this simple pastry. Between the wraps and rolls was the mildly sweet red bean paste which we particularly enjoyed as the sweetness was enough to pleasure and not satiate.

The pork siew bao tasted pretty similar to the usual char siew sou though the pork here was finely minced and diced so you could barely taste the meat. We loved the pastry though as it was almost melt-in-your-mouth soft. Apart from being a fragrant pastry, the filling was mildly savoury and sweet.

I have only tried pastries like siew bao once or twice in my life when i was in Malaysia. So I was super eager to try Fung Wong's version in Singapore. The pastries here are all delicious. Each one has a lovely light and flaky crust and the siew baos have delicious spiced filings. Both chicken adn pork versions are available but the pork is more juicy and delicious. Overall super yummy!

The siew bao here is quite unique. So far this is the only place in singapore that i have found that sells siew bao. After I came back from KL I was craving for a good siew bao. Upon hearing rave reviews about this place i decided to pay a visit. I got both the chicken bao and the siew bao and honestly found them very similar in terms of taste. Some sort of spices are used so the taste is pretty unique to this store. Overall worth a try. Each piece is relatively big and costs $1.50.

When I saw a box of this Charcoal Egg Cake, its reminds me of KL old institution Lee Wong Kee Restaurant's Sponge Rust. I had to get a box for old time memories. The taste did not disappoint but I thought at $7.90 for a small box of 20 thin slices of egg biscuits were rather expensive. I guest the rent at Resort World must be expensive. On the box it may say cake but it is more like golden brown biscuits. Each is about 6cm by 2cm long and less than 1 cm thick. The original sponge rust I had as a

This version has the nice egg fragrant & very crispy. When I bit into it, it crumbles into golden sands. This tastes sure brings backs lots of happy memories.

It seems like everyone is wanting a piece of this egg tart. I had originally wanted to get only two, one for myself and one for my hubby, but decided to get a box of six after seeing as so many people in front of us got 6 of them and it will be quite silly to wait so long and only get two. Each egg tart is priced at $1.20 and a dozen will be $7.20. It is good that I bought six since there is a box which prevents the tarts from getting squashed. Fresh off the oven, the exterior crust is very flak

Fresh off the oven, the exterior crust is very flaky and crispy. Their egg custard on the other hand is wobbly and very smooth and at a just right sweetness level. Although I admit that these are nice, but I am not sure if it is worth $1.20 and the time queuing.

another over hyped thing. there is absolutely nothing fantastic about this egg tart at all. i lined up for a long time, and then the man in front of me bought ALL of the egg tarts. so have to wait for another batch which took a long time. you can see them making it in the shop window. interesting. but the taste is very average. nothing to brag about at all. in fact the pastry is too crumbly and flaky and it's falling to pieces by the time i went back to my seat outside! nothing to recommend.

had their char siew pie thing. forgot what it's really called. rather pricey. and very popular. but not as popular as the egg tart. the egg tart is like permanently sold out the minute it comes out! this char siew tart thing is unique. never had such a thing before. it tasted pretty good. a bit too flaky and does not survive much handling or takeaway! gets squashed and broken easily. too crumbly. but very fragrant. interesting concept this food street thing. there is not much to choose from in

Resort World Sentosa's Malaysian Food Street has been said to feature some of the best hawkers in Malaysia. The budget-conscious will be glad to hear that prices here are not as steep as at the Rasapura Masters food court at the other integrated resort, Marina Bay Sands.

Fung Wong Confectionery's egg tart ($1.20) made my visit to Malaysian Food Street worthwhile. Although it tended on the watery side, the custard was wonderfully wobbly. Nestled in a crisp and light flaky pastry, it came as no surprise that these egg tarts were snatched up in a jiffy.

The crispy char siew bao (aka char siew puff) ($1.50) is also worth a try. The char siew filling encased within was pleasantly moist and tender, with a stronger spice kick than local variants.

A famous bakery from Malaysia which sells delicious Egg tart ($1.20), chicken pie ($1.50) and baked char siew bao ($1.50). Despite being located in RWS, which is a place where most tourists will visit, the pastries are reasonably priced. Though most people prefer the egg tart (as most of them are queueing for the egg tart), I prefer the baked char siew bao. The pastry simply just melts in your mouth! Super yummy!

If you are around the area and are craving for good pastry, do drop by here! The egg tarts literally fly off the shelf here, and they also serve another specialty, Baked Char Siew Bao. It is essentially a bigger char siew sow- char siew fillings encased in a crumbly pastry shell. The char siew filling was flavourful and there was quite a lot of char siew sauce inside bursting out. I felt the sauce was a tad too sweet, but this help made the entire pastry moist and not overly dry at all.

The egg tarts ($1.20) are really good, especially if it's warm out of the oven. The crispy, crumbly and buttery pastry shell went really well with the warm egg custard filling. The egg tart isn't very big, I could have popped the entire piece in my mouth, but it's best to savour it slowly. By the time we decided to buy a few more before leaving the place, there weren't any left and the bakery decided to stop producing fresh batches and call it a day. We were left with a disappointing, "Come again tomorrow."
