Canele Patisserie Chocolaterie (已結業)

A friend bought me some cakes from Canele which I asked for not the usual chocolate or cheesecake but something interesting. So she got me a La Pomme Vert, a delightful shortcake dome filled with luscious mascarpone mousse layered with apple cream and slow baked apple caramel. It's not too sweet and I really enjoyed it. She had the strawberry shortcake but I found it quite ordinary. And they were beautifully individually packed in a nice box.

Last sunday was shopping there with my wife,Also bought their macaron,6 pieces boxIs our second time trying it,The macaron was soft,but quite crunchy,just one thing that i don't like was that it was too sweet ,but their earl grey macaron was quite special,it's not very sweet,i like it a lot,But their other dessert was ok,like green tea cake & strawberry shortcakes

My mates and I chilled out at Canele Patisserie after our meal elsewhere. I like the ambiance in there. Despite the fact that the interior deco is superb, the drinks kind of disappointed me. try Le Royale for hazelnut chocolate cake with crispy biscuit in the middle! I dont mind travelling far to buy a cake from Canele as i love their cakes totally. Firstly, i love chocolate and their cakes are really rich in chocolate. Secondly, they closed at 11pm from Thur to Sat, which makes it easier for those people who are planning to give a surprise birthday cake right before midnight. Happened to have a project meeting at raffles earlier and bought myself another macaroon from canele!hehe. This time I bought the white coffee flavour(another Xmas edition flavour) and I loved it! Prefer this one to the lemon macaroon that I had yesterday. The coffee aroma was just lovely. I had to down a bottle of water after having it though. The Bf was so sweet and got me macaroons yesterday after I told him that I haven't tried one in my life.hehe. So we happened to pass by Canele and spotted some really pretty looking macaroons and it seems that some flavours were only for Xmas..so we got the Lemon Lime one...Have to say the I din't really like the lemon flavour but the chocolate inside it was W.O.W. welli think that their dessert could be even better.. and their range of dessert is widerrather creative..this dessert is called "canele Rose petal icecream with raspberry swirl"decorated with rose meringue and lycheeperhaps they could add some fresh diced strawberries as welltaste not too sweet.. much more of cream texture compared to the normal strawberry ice cream..

Canele's meringue! I've tasted really good meringue before, so I thought of trying theirs. I picked a lemon flavoured one, while my BFF took a strawberry one. When we tried it, we realised it wasn't really what we totally expected, as when you bite into it, it doesn't immediately melt in your mouth like what it should be, and it was a tad too sweet However, I think it is satisfactory, and it sells for quite a reasonable price

Candele is only suitable for a place to have dessert and not main course. Ordered a cheese and ham bake rice and a crepe eggplant which wasn’t that fantastic. The atmosphere was nice as well.However, the dessert was delicious! Ordered 3 macaroons and they are hazelnut, dark chocolate with hazelnut and dark chocolate.

My hubby got these two Canele macarons back for me from his office as leftovers after a company event. According to him, these are the newest flavours introduced in conjunction with the mooncake festival. The orange coloured one is the gula melaka and the green one is the green tea flavour. We cut a bit of both to share and both of us liked the green tea one better since it is less sweet and has a nice tea fragrance.

I was craving for desserts as my sweet tooth was turning active. I decided to try something new so I bought the candy biscuit like dessert from Canele Patisserie-Chocolaterie to munch. It tasted some sort of biscuits and it was quite sweet and dry. I didn’t really enjoy the taste of it. It costs around $5 each.

Baking Maracons for my first trial at home, it was too sweet. So i decided to ask my hubby to buy maracons from Canele to try it out the taste, before i do baking for my second trial. Different flavours, with different colours. After trying Canele macarons, it taste fantastic. Do not know when i can bake till Canele quality and standard.
