Drinks & Breakfast - Koufu (已結業)

Everytime when I order a drink I always get it to go.. Since their styrofoam cups are bigger.. But when the auntie misheard and make it for here.. She poured the drink into the styrofoam cup and you can see it's only half a styrofoam cup.Oh well.. For 70cents Teh o siew Dai.. The south canteen is 40 cents for Teh o..Glutinous rice for breakfast with a drink.. $1.50

I only realised recently that Koufu sells paus, chee cheong fun and chwee kueh among other stuffs. Bought a plate of chwee kueh (4 for $1) for I only wanted something light and I am glad that I didn’t buy more than that. I find that there wasn’t enough preserved radish (the brown bits on top) and the chwee kueh (steamed rice cake) was quite hard and didn’t have the texture chwee kuehs normally have. Quite disappointed.

Honey Milk Tea ($1.50)I order a honey milk tea. At $1.50 it is much cheaper than usual bubble tea stalls. In this stall, you are not asked what sugar level you want, so I think the aunty standardised the drink herself. But the taste of the drink is too bland for me. I cannot taste the tea in this drink. But then again for this cheap price, I cannot be complaining too much.

After a rather dry lunch, I am planning to get an iced cold green tea to wash down the meal. But the aunty said no green tea today. So end up ordering Red Rudy for dessert. But the other aunty who is doing the making forget about my order. She remember the order of the guy before me and also the guy after me, but not mine. Until she finally see me, then she asks what have I ordered. And she seems cludless in the making of Red Rudy as she keeps asking another aunty what to add.Red Rudy ($1.20)The

After a filling meal, time for a drink. At first wants to order Sour Plum ice blended. Aunty at the cashier said machine is spolit. I change my order to Honey Milk Tea. Aunty said no milk tea. In the end after giving the menu a good look through, I order Chendol ($1.20).Very refreshing and sweet especially on such a hot day. The green chendol looks a bit small in pieces.

I have been craving for the Hong Kong Style Chee Cheong Fun from Dakota for DAYS.Unfortunately, due to all the projects and assignments in school I do not have the time to travel far to satisfy my craving.So in the end, I went to eat the normal Chee Cheong Fun from Koufu,which tasted not bad too This plate of Chee Cheong Fun was also very cheap and worth the money because it only costs me $1 for 3 rolls of ccf.The ccf was served hot, with sesame oil, sweet sauce and chilly sauce too.Sesame toppi

During break time,i always don't know want to eat what.Saw the yam cakes,and decided to ordered it.It cost only $1 for this three pieces ofbig yam cake.The sauce is the sweet sauce for chee cheong fun.Auntie also gave me some sambal.The yam cake is soft and smooth after steamed for a long time.It taste not bad.I bought it as my tea break,but it is so big until become my meal already.

long time never eat the luo mai gai (chicken glutinuos rice) already so i had it for my breakfast at school. the glutinuos rice is steamed till soft and sticky together , and the ingredients inside is quite generous in portion too. there are chicken, chinese sausage, mushroom and hard boiled egg slice. this bowl of glutinuos rice really make me feel very full after eating.

The butter and kaya combination gives a wonderful aroma to the toast with a crispy sides and both the surfaces are evenly toasted. The sweetness is just nice and not too overwhelming. The toast is also served along with two half-boiled eggs which the timing is extimated well so that it is not over-boiled. The soya milk from Koufu was just normal. I had a discussion about where to have nice soya milk. My friend is very good at differentiating soya milk flavour. By just one taste, he would know which soya milk is good and which is not. Hic, for me, I'm not at that level yet. But I'm sure that our school koufu's Soya is OK! It's not bad! I was surprised to see that the drink stall at koufu actually sold those drinks you can find at those herbal tea stall. I decided to grab myself a drink after eating the western food. I ordered myself the barley drink. It was very thirst quenching. Iadd ice and the sweetness of the drink was just right. There was also plenty of barley in the drink. Nevertheless, it is just something cool for a hot evening.

I had a hearty breakfast at koufu. I ordered their set meal which comes with 2 soft boiled egg, a hot drink and a toast bread with kaya and butter. I must say it was very filling and I only paid $2.20 in all. The toast was very crispy. The kaya was not sweet as well. I like their soft bowl eggs, it was cooked perfectly. I hate some which are overcooked and you are eating three quarter cooked eggs. I think it was very value for money.

The toast is nice, crispy layer with cold unmelted butter slice in between.It is really crispy as can see from the photo.It keeps dropping when i eat it.I usually wont order this toast because i dont like it's looks,it looks burn.But i was wrong,this toast is really nice.Especially when eat with a cup of kopi o.Taste nice.REally a good choice for my breakfast.

Had breakfast in Nanyang Poly to start off my day! the soft boiled eggs were just nice, perfectly cooked. so you could see the fluffy egg white and yellowish egg yolk. the toasted bread in butter spread was awesome too. Lastly it is good to have this cup of coffee to start off my morning! The coffee is the cheaper coffee powder type, like commonly found at coffee shop kind. but the coffee is really nice, Very fragrant and smooth.
