The Ship Restaurant (已結業)

Other than the deep fried chickens from KFC which are my favourite, the chicken wings here at THE SHIP is equally delicious. Really curious what kind of marination sauce has been used in it which make it very appetitizing. It is super crispy and not too oily. Even with no chilli sauce or tomato sauce to go along with it, it tastes equally good. Only deep fried upon our order so we will be assured the freshest plate of chicken wings will be served to us.

Other than their signature dishes such as the fish and chips and fish soup rice noodles, their grilled prawns are also one of my must eat dish. The prawns are very fresh and crunchy, which are sweet and not overly cooked. The cut vegetables in this dish are equally fresh and the colours of it make the dish looks really appearing and appetitizing. It is quite light and great for those who are on diet.

There are a lot of F&B choices in Nex and I probably wouldn't have chosen The Ship if I had not plan to...it looks dark from the outside and it IS really dark when you're inside too!I managed to place my orders in spite of the dark and was pleasantly surprised when my order of spaghetti carbonara came. It was so nicely garnished! It was tasty but the portion could have been bigger.

I have read a lot of great reviews about The Ship Restaurant but have no chance as my husband is not a Western fan and he always dismiss my Western food craving. The name of this restaurant speaks it all, it's a ship and sailing themed Western restaurant that serves a range of chops and grills. A gathering with my besties and we decided to visit The Ship for our dinner, as recommended by one of them.Interior of the restaurant is dimly lit and dark, I guess it is their signature kind of ambiance? This restaurant has been very popular since their first branch opens at Shaw Center. Glad this time they have openedat Nex so that I will not need to travel so far to the Orchard branch to enjoy my favourite deep fried spring chicken. The marination to this spring chicken is really tasty and fragrant. The chicken meat is very tender and juicy and the portion is big enough to serve at least two adults. The side dishes such as the coleslaw and french fries are equally delicious too.

Earlier on i was out with dinner with some of my favourite girls from my poly days! I was walking around nex when I discovered that there was a branch of the ship and bar restaurant. I remembered how delicious they escargots were. Without any hesitation, I tow all my friends in and we ordered their escargots. Many of my friends have never ate escargots and were put off by the idea of eating snails.
