It is always worth queuing for good food. The snaking queue at Xiu Ji is quite slow, but for the love of my favorite ikan bilis yong tau foo, Im more than willing to wait. Queued for an average of 30 mins which is still acceptable to me. I have always preferred the dry version of yong tau foo, so I chose the 7 pcs for $3 with bee hoon/noodles. Actually there is no sweet sauce or chili on the bee hoon like other dry yong tau foo noodles but surprisingly it was not bland, in fact it really tasted

I have always preferred the dry version of yong tau foo, so I chose the 7 pcs for $3 with bee hoon/noodles. Actually there is no sweet sauce or chili on the bee hoon like other dry yong tau foo noodles but surprisingly it was not bland, in fact it really tasted good with just the ikan bilis on it. Love the crunchy fragrant ikan bilis!!! I was eating there when they were frying the ikan bilis and was really tempted to scoot off with the wok of mouth-watering delish goodness!

The attitude wasnt very good especially that of one elderly auntie, she scolded and pushed my friend who was waiting for the food just coz she was in her way. I know I cant expect service from such a busy hawker stall, and she probably don't mean any harm but it sure doesn't feel good to be treated like this when we are buying food from them. Other than that, we still love the yong tau foo here! Cheap and good!

The Food

What I like about this stall is quite different & unique, totally different from other yong tau foo stalls.
Firstly, it is sprinkled with freshly fried and crispy ikan bilis that gives the dish a savoury crunch. Secondly, The four ingredients – tofu, stuffed beancurd skin, taupok and fishball – are handmade with the freshest ingredients.
Lastly, the soup is light in taste with no MSG. Seems that the soup is cooked for many hours to give a sweet & tasty flavor. At first, I thought the bee hoon taste will be bland due to just a bit of light soya sauce being poured over it. When I have my 1st bite, I was surprised that the bee hoon combined with the ikan billis gives such a wonderful flavor !!!

The Service
Even though I went on weekends morning, the queue is super long. But the service is still good as the auntie who takes down order is friendly and fast.

The Ambience
Although the stall is in a hawker center, i find that the place was well-ventilated and not stuffy hence still acceptable

The Price
Reasonably priced at $3 per bowl, definitely worth the money and time to queue !!

Overall
I will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this!

This stall probably needs no introduction for Yong Tau Foo fans! One of the most popular yong tau foo stall in Singapore, certainly one with the longest wait, longest queue.I have always wondered whats so good about this stall, I mean it is good, but certainly not that good to warrant a 1 hour wait in line. Nevertheless, I have to admit that I am quite a regular to this stall as my mum loves this place. Usually we would be here at an ungodly time of 630am so that we dont have to wait too long. T

The star of the show is certainly the delicious, very spicy chili and the ikan bilis! Simple goodness, this is how I would describe this stall. But for me, not worth 1 hour.

This stall got the longest queue in this food centre! Though we went there very early but the queue already quite long. Unlike most Yong Tau Food stalls, we did not get to choose what we want to eat but only given the option to choose the type of noodles. We decided to try the yellow noodle and bee hoon and both tasted equally good. The soup has got a distinctive ikan bilis taste and the fishball, tau kwa / tau pok with fish paste and beancurd tasted very fresh.

YUM is the word i can use to describe the yong tau fu at the famous Xiu Ji Ikan Bilis Yong Tau Fu located at chinatown food centre. You will never mis-locate this stall at the hawker centre as there will always be a long queue queuing up for the great yong tau fu goodness. Unlike the other yong tau fu stalls where you pick and pay for the ingredients you want, this stall serves their yong tau fu in standard sizes (small, medium, large) and you can choose to have it just on its own with their deli

You will never mis-locate this stall at the hawker centre as there will always be a long queue queuing up for the great yong tau fu goodness. Unlike the other yong tau fu stalls where you pick and pay for the ingredients you want, this stall serves their yong tau fu in standard sizes (small, medium, large) and you can choose to have it just on its own with their delicious yellow bean peppery soup, or with noodles!

The yong tau fu is not only freshly made each day, but also has great texture! The fish ball is bouncy and the tofu is soft and smooth. Great!

That was different. Unlike a typical yong tau foo stall's stacked salad bar-style of ingredient selection, everything at this Chinatown Complex stall is standard . there were no veggies available, and there were no soy beans in the soup nor was there any of that brown sauce. I guess that this was the more traditional way of doing this, believe in the old way no selection is given

I was greeted by the usual long queue. But i was rather patient then as i was looking forward to enjoying the delicious bowl of Yong Tau Foo. I waited for 30 minutes before i gotten my order but the wait is definitely worthwhile. I always go for the 7 pieces with mee or bee hoon for $3.00 and with an extra fishcake for 0.60 cents. All the Yong Tau Foo were prepared daily to ensure the freshness of its quality. My favorite gotta be the white tofu with fishpaste. The soup is pretty clear with only

Highly recommended.

This is the one of the famous stalls with the longest queue in this hawker centre, and most of these regular supporters are the elderly ones. The waiting time is quite intense as it can be as long as 30 mins or longer.I could never understand why would these people bother to queue for yong tau foo? i wanted to try a few times but turned off by the long queue but I made up my mind to try today, and i waited for 30 mins to be served. You can choose between the 9 pieces or 7 pieces with noodle, both

I could never understand why would these people bother to queue for yong tau foo? i wanted to try a few times but turned off by the long queue but I made up my mind to try today, and i waited for 30 mins to be served.

You can choose between the 9 pieces or 7 pieces with noodle, both for $3.00. You can choose between kway teow, yellow noodle or bee hoon and you can have it dry or soup. You can choose to add extra ingredients like fishcake for 0.60 cents, bitter gound for 0.40 cents or 3 mini abalone for $1.00 but you did not get to choose your choice of yong tau foo.

i wanted yellow noodle, and i absolutely love the crunchiness of ikan bilis on top of the noodle. All the yong tau foo are handmade with fresh ingredients. I had 2 fishballs, 2 white tofu with fishpaste, 2 fried beancurd skin rolls and 1 stuffed taupok in the clean tasting MSG free soup. My personal favourite gotta be the white tofu with fishpaste.

Their opening hours is from 5.45 am to 3.00 pm.

There is another famous yong tau foo stall at the people park hawker centre with super long queue too, if i have to compare both stalls and choose between them, my choice gotta be the other one.
