Yamazaki is a bakery which specialises in cakes and bread. I especially love the soft chocolate cake. It is priced @ $1.80. The cake is extremely soft and fluffy with chocolate bits in it. Yamazaki is one place I love to go to buy breads as their breads are just more fragrant and soft. It is great that they have an outlet at Jcube so it is rather convenient to buy them anytime. Just yesterday, I bought the mini buns which costs $3 and also two other buns which cost 70/80 cents. Strawberry Mousse $3.50 it looked quite moist but it was quite dry to be eaten. i was not able to finish this by myself. the strawberry flavour was too sweet and did not seem to go well with the mousse.Chocolate Mocha Puff $1.80the puff was light and fluffy, very yummy! The mocha and chocolate taste were equally distinct. the cream fillings were very generous and shiok.

What I like about this bakery is that they sell affordable desserts. You don't have to pay thrice the price for a slice of cake at a cafe! Peach & Cream Cheese Tart $4.50 The peach was fresh but the cream cheese flavour was a bit off. I've always loved the idea of cranberry and cheese bread. I first ate them at a bakery near my house and have always been buying them for breakfast soon after my virgin taste! The Yamazaki bakery shop always amazed me with their variety of cakes and breads.Bought a slice of the Chocolate Fudge Cake($4) for my mini birthday celebration. Took away a Strawberry Fruit Tart one evening after dinner as i was drawn to the fresh pump looking strawberries.The tart is not too thick and has a layer of chocolate coating inside. Topping includes a soft sponge cake and custard, followed by the Big Juicy Sweet strawberries. Lastly, it was glaze with a layer of gelatine and sprinkle of almond flakes surrounding the side. Try it to see and taste how different this tart is from other competitors.

Bought these few last minute cake slices for my mom's birthday as we went out for her birthday dinner spontaneously! There is peach, strawberries and kiwi ontop of the fruit cake. A tad sour for me! I guess it depends on your luck to get the sweet ones. The almond flakes at the side added a nice touch to the soft sponge-like texture of the cake! The cream was quite rich as well. I scrapped it off as i felt it was too much. I prefer the chocolate cake if i had to choose between the two. The choco
