Brought a plate of the duck hor fun from the famous duck stall Yu Kee. I had been patronising this stall for quite a few times and I can say that the quality of the duck meat is still very consistent. This is the same for this time round. The duck meat is well braised, has a very tender texture. As for the hor fun, I think that it is a little dry. As for the sauce, it is well mixed, not too salty and goes quite well with the hor fun and the duck meat. Last by not least, every duck rice meal should go with their speciality chilli sauce which I personally think it is the best of all duck rice stall that I have eaten. This stall is a must for duck meat lovers !!  繼續閱讀

Besides their signature duck rice and kway chap, their handmade duck noodles is really good too. The noodle is not the normal yellow thick noodles you find at other braised duck rice stall. Their noodles look like those instant noodles but it does not taste like it. The texture of the noodles is much chewier. The duck gravy is very thick and tasty. it mixes well with the noodles making it very delicious. The duck is very tender and has been sliced pretty thinly. one mouth of noodles and one mouth of duck is real good. 繼續閱讀

This stall sells one of the nicest kway chap. The portion of the kway is really large, normally they will serve the kway on those tiny soup bowls and when you scoop into it, you can only find a miserable pieces of kways, but for this, the bowl size is those fishball noodles that large size bowl and there was really a lot of pieces of kway. I think you just eat the kway, you will pretty much be very full already. The soup is really tasty and flavourful, I deliberately took a close up short to show that the soup is not too oily. Some places the soup is so oily that the layer of oil floating on top is so frightening. It is not too salty as the gravy for the ingredients was on the saltier side. The kway is very smooth and chewy, it simply glides down the throat. The kway is not too thick, it was rolled perfectly to reach its thickness. Their ingredients are really good, like the tau pok and eggs are braised perfectly. The colour of the tau pok and egg is dark brown but not too dark. When you bite into the tau pok, you can taste the tastiness of the braised sauce gravy oozing out in your mouth. Their pig’s intestine is braised till it is very tender, you can taste that they cleaned it really well, some place they do not clean it well, there will be this bad smell. However I dun really like the fat pork meat. There were a lot of fats in between the meat, very hard to eat. The lean meat was a little tough too. The chilli dip is really good, sourish and spicy. it went well with the ingredients. If you add some into the soup, it will give it another flavour. it was so filling thanks to the generous portion of the kway. 繼續閱讀

this stall other than selling braised duck rice or noodles also sells kway chap. their kway chap is good and i suggest you eat it there. the kway is served in a rather large bowl. the soup is tasty and the gravy they add on top of the ingredients is nice. i strongly recommend their salted vegetable. in my opinion is a must order. nice kway chap you can get almost at a lot of places but to get nice salted vegetable to go with your kway chap is hard. the salted vegetable here is not too salty that makes you wanna drink a lot of water. it is on the sweetish saltish side. the vegetables is very crunchy as well. it goes really well with the kway. one of the nicest salted vegetable in singapore. service seemed to improve since the last time i went. 繼續閱讀

I should say 'Yu Kee' is quite a promising name for their fragrant braised duck. The duck meat here is juicy, tender and not too oily. The dark soya sauce used in braising the duck has totally absorb into it which make every piece of this yummy duck taste really good! Most of your mouthful for the stir fried yam rice, you can actually find some smooth sweet yam in it. The sambal chilli really is shiok as it not too spicy and lots of sambal can be found in it. Simply delicious and worth the money! 繼續閱讀
