Although it was a hot day, we decided to bring the heat to the next level by having the 363 katong laksa. My laksa cost $4. Despite its plain and simple look, the smell is tempting enough to get you dive right in. The laksa came with prawns, fish cakes, bean sprout, and laksa leaves (yes, I asked for no cockles. I can either choose to please my stomach or my taste bud, in this case my choice was the former one). The laksa tasted fragrant, there were ample laksa leaves, which I love. I strongly r

I strongly recommend you to add some sambal for that extra kick, it wasn't that spicy, at least to me.

there are so many katong laksa stalls around, each claiming that they are the authentic one. I guess I'll never really know who to trust so I'll just eat and trust my tastebuds! 363 katong laksa is quite comparable to 328 katong laksa but still doesn't taste as good. the gravy was thick and rich but slightly salty. The chu bee hoon were cut into short strands just like the authentic katong laksa style so that only a spoon is needed to consume this bowl of laksa. ingredients were rather fresh too

It was a rainy day and I felt like something soupy, hot and spicy so I settled for the famous spoon laksa. What impresses me that a $4.50 bowl of laksa offers ipad for a self service ordering system. Pretty high tech for a coffee shop. Service was quick and friendy despite the busy dinner hours. I ordered a bowl which came with cockles, fish cakes and prawns. I ordered a bowl which came with cockles, fish cakes and prawns. The silky rice noodle can be easily scoop up with the spoon because it's been pre cut. The gravy was not as rich and coconuty but had a nice balance of spiciness and smoothness that made the bowl of laksa very enjoyable.

I finished everything in the bowl including the gravy.

I was at Holland Village for a meal when I happened to walk past 363 Katong Laksa. The fragrance of the laksa attracted me to the place and I knew I had to try it. As it turned out, my visit there was thankfully not a disappointment. The laksa was too my liking, slightly sweet, with the right amount of coconut used. The hums were fresh. The otah was good too. It is comparable to 328 katong laksa which in my opinion, is really overhyped and overrated.

Had my laksa craving at Holland Village, claiming to be one of the famous one from Katong. Since Katong is quite a distance away, I decided to just settle at this place for now. The laksa served is creamy and not overpowering. The coconut used is just nice, not to thick or thin. The thick beehoon is chewy and nice. The ingredients uses is fresh too, especially the cockles.

My parents and I decided to try this because there were quite a number of locals at the store.

Apparently, they have a set meal but didn't inform us until we ordered a la carte and saw that there was a set meal for a drink, otak, and laksa. We spent a total of $18 for 3 persons.

The otak was relatively small... don't be deceived by it's large size, IT'S CUT INTO THIN SLICES. i can hardly enjoy any taste because it's like thin fish cake.

The traditional laksa has no chopsticks for it, so the noodles were cut into short strands, and I love scooping and digging for 'treasures' - i.e: the fresh juicy prawns.

I was contemplating should I go for the laksa or the nasi lemak but saw the fried tau kwa with sweet chilli that I last reviewed and said that it's nice, so can't resist it this time and ordered the latter instead. Got the picture this time to show. Eventhough the price may seem to be on a higher side but at least their quality and taste is there. I am a big fan of laksa but it has to be with yellow noodles. So with Katong Laksa been around for a while, I didn't think I will be missing much since they serve only the thick mee hoon.Until one fine day two years ago I give it a try and I've change my mind set on the noodles and mee hoon thingy after the first slurp. Now if I am around Holland Village, my feet eventually walk towards the stall. The laksa soup base is good and the thickness is just right and not too watery and the ingredients are pretty fresh. I've tried their nasi lemak and actually it's not too bad too. The dishes are tasty and the fried tau kwa with sweet chilli is nice and their fried chicken is well marinate and the two important thing in a nasi lemak is the rice and the chilli, and I must say they are not too bad. The rice is well fragrant with coconut and pandan leaves and the chilli does accompany along well. Glad at least they still maintain their standard thus this far.

Though this place is named as katong laksa, I had the nasi lemak instead, which is together at the same shop, just different stall. I ordered with chicken wings & cabbage. The Chicken wings cost $1.20, total $2.70 One thing that i like about the nasi lemak here is the Chilli, which was great. It is not too hot, and with a slightly sweet taste.Chicken wings fried to perfection, no bloody meat area. Taste good and is not too salty.

I love Katong Laksa. Actually, I don't eat other kinds of Laksa except for Katong Laksa. Different outlets and branches produce different standard, of course. I think most locals will immediately understand that "Katong Laksa" refers to a nyonya-style of cooking. Also, Katong Laksa usually contain short-cut rice vermicelli, prawns, sliced fish cake, cockles, bean sprouts, coconut milk and along with other spices. 363 Katong Laksa is located at a corner of Holland Village, near to Provence bakery. This is a great substitute for those who live in the west and do not wish to travel all the way down to the east for the original and popular one. This is just as good.
