We were there for their lunch set promos which starts from $10.90.For the price,it includes a bowl of ramen+a side dish +a drink of your choice which was quite reasonable.I had the charsiew ramen with fried gyoza and iced lemon tea.The taste of the ramen was average but portion is good.Thr fried gyoza is normal too,i dont personally like the ice lemon tea as it is too sour and abit bitter for me.

Having wet weather, makes one want to have something hot and soupy for lunch. So we have lunch at Ajisen Ramen. I am having the scallop ramen lunch set which costs $11.90++. It includes a drink and a side dish. There is a choice of either ice lemon tea or green tea for drink, and a choice of either gyoza or cuttlefish for side dish. I like the gyoza which has rather thin skin. The ramen is not bad and not too salty.

We decided to settle at the Ajisen Ramen Restaurant at Ngee Ann City for dinner as there isnt much crowd even though it's dinner time.Between me & my friend, we ordered a Paiku Ramen ($11) & a Curry Cutlet Miso Ramen ($12).The Paiku Ramen is okay, some of the Paiku tasted burnt but I really like the soup base. For the Curry Cutlet Miso Ramen, the Chicken Cutlet is nicely fried but I didnt taste any curry in both the Chicken & the broth. The broth tasted very strongly of vegetables, especially of cabbage.. I didnt really like it.

We also upgraded 1 of the ramen to a set, adding $3.90 for a plate of Agedashi Tofu & a cup of iced lemon tea. The Agedashi tofu is very nice, not too salty. Recommended.

Soupy noodles for Dinner at Takashimaya.
The food court at Taka is always so packed that it is even hard to find a seat for just 2 people.
So we made do with Ajisen Ramen located at the other end of it.

We had Char Siew Ramen and seafood ramen. Just the ala carte ramen from the menu.

I like the soup broth not so salty. Charsiew is of a reasonable size, nothing much to complain with the price that we are paying. As for the seafood ramen, it consists of scallops, prawns and sotong. Seafood lovers will like it as the seafood ingredients which they use are really fresh.

Recommended for reasonable price ramen at Ajisen.

There were five pieces and a dip. The gyoza were pretty small in size but tasted very juicy and delicious. It goes especially well with the dip.

I could not decide what to have for dinner as I strolled along the basement of takashimaya, I spotted a standing banner featuring various tom yum ramen from ajisen. There were three pieces of chicken karage. Each piece was pretty large in size, the meat was very tender and juicy on the instead though crispy on the outside. I think this is one of my new love from ajisen. I ordered white fish for my side, it looked like it shrunk in size and it was not very crispy too, tasted like it had exposed to air for some time.

This time I ordered the spicy ramen when I headed to ajisen. I was craving for something spicy so the spicy ramen was the right choice for me. the ramen soup tasted really tasty. initially I did not stir in the spicy meat into the soup, so it did not taste too spicy but when I stirred in the spicy meat, it was extremely spicy. Mind blowing in fact. The meat was really tender and it was actually minced into tiny pieces. It definitely satisfied my spicy craving.

This Ramen soup from this Japanese restaurant has always been my favourite choice of ramen when comes to having the soup version. Their soup base is always quite sweet and thicker in flavour. The hand made ramen wil never fail to impress me as they are very chewy and thick in texture. The price is quite reasonable as consider per bowl is less than fifteen dollars and the portion is also quite generous too.

Had the seafood ramen lunch set here for 10.90 which includes a side dish (fried tofu for mine) and a drink (green tea). I thought it was quite worth it as the portion of ramen was quite large! This meal is very filling, especially with the side dish included! Love the tanginess of the ramen and the taste of the soup although i would say that it was a tad oily. The flavour was good and the ingredients was quite abundant! However, i would say that i used to enjoy Ajisen alot more than i do now.

Food: Had the Tom Yum Seafood. Nothing much in the bowl except for noodles and more noodles. Not much seafood other than the fake, red seafood stick things, and not much vegetables. Nothing memorable. Taste is similar to instant noodles. Might as well just get instant noodles!

The service was okay and we enjoyed our ramen meal. Maybe next time can try their lunch promotion. But one thing to note is that the place do gets very noisy when the tables are occupied.
