Had an all day breakfast during lunch hour. Love how the scramble egg tasted. It's so soft and velvety with the taste of butter and milk. Yums.. There's a $3 top up for scramble egg though. WHY? ='( The bread is nicely toasted but a tad too dry and tasteless. I tried mixing with some scramble eggs and smoked salmon to get my taste buds kicking. It's pretty pricey for such a simple breakfast. Overall taste and ambience is average.

Their flagship store. It was located at a walking distance from my workplace thus, i'll be there qften for lunch or dinner. Their prices were pretty affordable with great service and food. I had carbonara with a poached egg on top. Presentation topped it all! The taste is rich, creamy, just awesome!

The cake consist of a layer of sponge cake, cream + strawberries and the top layer which I can't really identify what it is. The whole combination is very good. The cream is light and the strawberries are sweet and juicy. In addition, the sponge cake is also moist and fluffy and eaten as a whole, it is really nearing perfect. This has to be my favourite strawberry shortcake as of now!

I went to Antoinette at Lavender for brunch where I ordered some French toast with maple syrup and berries. The French toast was very soft and sweet topped with the maple syrup. It costs $14 for breakfast, quite value for money for the quality of food. The ambience is great for a relaxing weekend to chill and catch up with friends and family.

I went to Antoinette for brunch where I ordered the pancakes with sausage. It costs around $15 for the meal. I totally love the ambience of Antoinette as it is really girlish and it gives a princess feel. They serve breakfast all day which is wonderful. The pancakes were tangy and baked at the right temperature while the sausage was a little salty though. The meal was great.

However, our otherwise very pleasant experience here was somewhat ruined by a few of the waiters who attended to us due to their attitude. In addition, most of the service staff are foreigners, mainly from India. So when we ordered our food we had difficulty understanding what they were talking about & vice versa.

Fortunately, the food that we ordered wiped out the negative feelings we had on their service staff. Here's what we had:

1. Classic eggs Florentine ($14++)

I ordered this and it was really wonderful! The 2 eggs were served on toasted brioche, wilted spinach, serrano ham and hollandse sauce, with a side salad with house dressing. I really love the way my eggs were done. I was really full & satisfied after finishing this set.

2. Antoinette breakfast ($20++)

My friend's set was a very worthwhile meal with so many items.
She had trouble finishing all the food & kept asking me to help myself with her food. I did sample tasting of her food & enjoyed eating the sausage the most. But in the end I was the one who finished up her hot chocolate as she thought it was too bitter. Luckily I love dark chocolate! ;)

3. Antoinette (ice cream served with creme Chantilly) $9++

Antoinette is actually Earl Grey ice cream with raspberry jelly with milk chocolate shards ($9++). The Earl Grey ice cream flavour was not distinctive enough upon first bite, but as it melted in the mouth, it got stronger. All I can say is, it's divine!

Actually we were already full when we finished our main courses, but decided to stuff ourselves with at least 1 dessert since this place is famous for desserts & pastries, and we were glad we did! I will definitely want to try the other desserts and pastries at Antoinette again next time.

This is a great find from TV program, ever since I have seen it presented on food and infotainment program. I longed for visiting them. It was nestled in an industrial/HDB area. This is definitely a gem in that area.

It was a rainy Monday, I managed to have the afternoon free from work. My friend and I decided to have a relaxing high tea there. We reached there around 3+pm, there were already few tables filled. We were led to a 2-seater table, chairs are really comfy. As this was my first visit, I couldn’t help but marvel at the opulent Parisian essence setting, it gave out a grandeur décor theme.
I was really impressed with the exquisite furnishing and the conscientiously-designed layout of Antoinette, seemingly inspired by a typical French patisserie. The lay-out is segregated into different corners for the various groups of customers, which might probably denote the respective individual private corners or personal spaces for each duo or group.

We combined lunch and high tea into one meal. First we ordered Club Antoinette because of the type of bread Pain de Mie they used. If one who is careful with the calorie count, Brioche is being used for most of their bread dishes, eg, French toast. Both of us liked specially the real crab mayonnaise, the sweetness of crab meat still attained, the rest of the ingredients were fresh and crisp. The sandwich was still lukewarm when served.

I have a pot of Earl Grey tea to go with the food as it could clear the savoury and sweetness tastes with a long lasting tea fragrance afterwards. Whereas my friend chose Rose tea, I have tried a cup, Rose flavour was mildly released.

Here came our favourite meticulously crafted cakes, mine was Antoinette, a pretty little chocolate cake, make up of milk chocolate mousse infused with earl grey and dark chocolate cremeux, a base of chocolate biscuit gave crunchiness to overall texture. The raspberry coulis in the form of a sour tang neutralised the sweetness of it, burst it and let it flow over the whole cake, one mouthful of it one would know what is called chocolate heaven!

My friend has Saint Honore L’Amour, she is so kind to let me have a taste of the rose petal and mini choux pastry. The edible rose petal was slight bitter as it should be, it has mini syrupy dots on it so it could defuse the bitterness. Choux pastry was just alright.

The waitstaff was politely and patiently serving customers. They would not ban customers for photo shooting, probably the more photos we took the merrier the own would. We were very happy to have a relaxing afternoon there, it was a memorable experience though, dining at a French patisserie without flying over to France.

The interior decor was so french and feminine looking and the place were nearly full when we came around 7 plus and customers kept coming in either for takeaways or dine in. I'm quite surprised that people really flocked here even at this area. A counter staff went through the cakes at the counter with us and all cakes and macaroons looked attractive and yummy but the price was pretty steep. Per piece of macaroons were at $2.50 and $2.80 the yuzi flavour was good. I had the Antoinette cake at $9.00, a milk chocolate mousse infused with earl grey tea that took me quite sometime to figure out what was it and honestly everything was nice apart from the earl grey tea thingy. The raspberry coulis was placed on the top of the cake and in a bubble form as though those of a capsule with fish oil, and it was sour but still okay. I liked the soft biscuit underneath the choc mousse. Along with the cake I had a cup of Vienne coffee at $6.00 and it was thick yet not aromatic enough.

My sister was in a very good mood so she decided to treat the whole family to Antoinette for a good meal. I ordered their Antoinette club sandwiches. It was really good. The sandwiches were cut into triangles making it very easy to eat. The fillings were quite a lot too, till the extent it kept falling out when you eat it. It had a good mix of vegetables and filling and bread, making the meal very wholesome!

Salade Antoinette is a very refreshing starter that kicked start my appetite! I had Gnocchi Carbonara as my main dish. It is sauteed with caramelized bacon, white wine cream sauce, served with poached egg and aged parmesan cheese. It is superb delicious i swear! Really rich in flavour. The gnocchi was soft, mushy and a tad salty. Strangely, the bacon seem not to be as salty. Thumbs up and a must try dish! Didn't really like their dessert though. I had this cake which is damn bitter for my liking

it was a last minute decision to eat there (i'm insanely fickle...) for 'date night' with boyfriend, and after spending 1.5hours sitting in rush hour traffic, the most dreaded thing i wanted to hear was that they were 'fully reserved'. i wanted to burst out crying. ::: peers forlornly into the windows of restaurant:::

we did manage to take away a bit of Antoinette away with us though, in a gorgeous little box and paper bag. we got the Antoinette cake and the new Mango/Passionfruit cake. Both of them were mousse cakes, with a little layer of biscuit at the bottom for the chocolate cake, and a layer of cake at the bottom for the Mango/Passionfruit.

a sort of 'sauce' (i think it's cherry) spills out when the red blob atop the Antoinette was poked apart. we could also taste a tinge of cherry in the thick chocolaty mousse. there was a darker, thicker chocolate mousse in the center of the cake. similarly, the mango/passionfruit cake had a very thick, refreshingly sour taste, and there was coconut mousse in the center. i would actually compare the cakes we had to those at K Ki. i'm not sure which *i* prefer, but boyfriend really likes those from Antoinette. guess we'll be heading back aplenty!

and if you, like me, have also always wondered how meringue tastes like - it tastes like cotton candy.

plus, i guess sharing some cakes together in the car is *sort of* really romantic =D
