Satay stalls are aplenty in Singapore, however it is hard to find one that serves up very good satay. Being traditionally a malay delicacy, it is usually served in chicken, beef or mutton variants. Pork Satays are typically the hardest to find because most stalls selling Satays are muslim stalls, and pork which is non-halal would definitely not be sold there. It took a little bit more than 20 minutes to get the satay as there were a few people in front with large orders. A good Pork Satay usually has fatty meat stuffed in the middle for the extra chew and flavour, or the Pork Satay would end up no different from a Chicken Satay. Chai Ho’s Pork Satay ($0.38 per piece cooked/$0.36 per piece raw) is just that; a good layer of fat that was chewy and provided a flavour burst for the well-marinated meat. I did not have the peanut sauce, but it seemed to contain quite a generous portion of peanuts in it.

Saw that there was a queue at the satay stall and the satay smell coming from the stall smelled good so I decided to try this out. It's pretty difficult to find a satay stall where one needs to actually queue for it, but this stall is one. Nestled in the heartlands, this stall serves up one of the better satays around.
The star of the show is no doubt the pork satay: it has a perfect combination of a smoky flavor and tender meat with tons of fat. You'll no doubt pile on the calories while eating this, but trust me, it's worth it.
Of course, good satay must be coupled with good "satay sauce", and the peanut curry dip here is really addictive. Be sure to order more of the rice in order to enjoy every single drop of the sauce!
The quality is however not that consistent; you might get more than a few sticks of burnt satays from time to time, but feel free to bring it for an exchange; they're friendly enough to do it for you.

This is one and only favourite satay stall in Singapore as I would says that it served the best satay in Singapore. The satay is grillled to perfection and with a dip in the peanut sauce, you will have a taste in heaven. The lontong great to be eaten with the satay. Whenever, I am feeling low, I would visit this stall as when the piping hot satay served to me, it will lift up my mood. I'm sure a lot of people know about this stall and just head down and taste it yourself to find out.

This popular stall at Clementi always spotted with a long queue. The stall not only steals satay but also barbeque meat. The marinated satay meat has a tad of sweetness to it which is delightful to the palate. The satay is nicely barbeque to a slight char and comes with a nice smokey aroma. The meat skewer also has a nice layers of fats giving it a nice texture. Paired with the nice and savoury peanut sauce, the satay is probably the best you can get.

This stall sells really good satay at a very reasonable price. The only thing that is required is patience since the queue can get quite long during lunch and dinner time. I ordered the mutton and pork satays and the satay comes slightly charred with a very nice fragrance. The satays are quite tender and flavourful even without dipping it into the satay sauce. The satay sauce is also not too oil and it is not diluted as well, with the thick peanut sauce. I like dipping the rice or the Ketupat in

Do try this stall for its cheap and good satays!

But then I can get similar satays elsewhere without the queues that reminds me of first day cover collectors of the 80's !

I'll be back for more if I'm around Clementi central...but only if I can jump queue, or if there's not much of the queue to begin with !

i guess this is one of the few satay store around in clementi and it taste really good. uncle always bbq the satay to perfection or slightly char-ed to give it a nice bbq feel to it.there are four kinds of meat to choose from; chicken, pork, beef and mutton. since i do not eat mutton, we normally choose chicken or pork and i think chicken taste better. the peanut satay sauce is another of my favourite so i will always drench my satay in the sauce before eating it =)

It is hard not to miss this stall with its snaking queues. Being Singaporeans, I guess we all judge, to some extent, whether a stall’s food is good or not by looking at its queues. My verdict is: it is really cheap and good. It is not very very tasty, but for the price you are paying, it is really just cheap and good. The satays are not overcooked hence the satay is still easy to chew on and easily swallowed. It is also well flavoured. The peanut sauce is also very tasty – not too oily. Definitely worth the time spent in queuing!

They served generous satay sauce and cucumber. We didn’t order the rice as we didn’t like the tasteless rice cube texture. Frankly we have high hope on their satay, first pork stick, meat was dried and stuck hard on the stick, tried the second chicken stick, it was the same, tried pork…chicken again, they were all hard and dried! Well, meats were well marinated but just too dry to chew. It has lost all moisture, it could be during barbeque process or left too long at the fridge as the stall closes on Wednesday. Though we found that their satay has room to improve, there were none stop patrons at that evening.

I might not have eaten enough to be an expert but based solely on my taste bud, i still have this stall listed as my very favourite stall for satay.

I have been eating regularly from this stall. My usual order has always been 10 sticks of chicken and 10 sticks of pork with 1 rice. I am never a fan of Ketupat but i always order at least 1 from this stall. Their Ketupat is the nicest that i have tried so far. If you like myself do not really like eating Ketupat then i urge you to give those at this stall a chance. It might change your opinion of Ketupat and started eating it like myself. The satay is 0.38 cents per stick and the rice is at 0.40 cents.

The satay sticks are well barbecued with a little of char taste. And, i love especially the thick peanut gravy though it can be a little diluted at times but overall, it is mostly good. Generous portion of cucumber chunks are served along with the satay.

This is a MUST TRY!

My property assistant and I wanted to have our dinner before 1st Council Meeting of 8th Management Council held at Multi Purpose Room 2 of Block 50N Faber Heights #01-92 Faber Crest Singapore 129207 on 2 June 2011 8.00 p.m.

The queue of this hawker is extremely long and everybody is waiting patiently for their turn, so I joined in the queue to see for myself what's so special.

I immediately placed an order of 10 sticks of Lamb Satay, but the server told me that they did not have stock, so I have to order 5 sticks of Pork Satay and 5 sticks of Chicken Satay during my turn.

I do not really like eating rice cake. That's why, you cannot see that item in my attached photograph.

This is one of the most popular store at Clementi Central because they also sell "Bak Kwa" (Dried Pork) and Pork/Chicken Floss which opens daily.

The tasty juicy chicken & pork meat is fresh and cheap (only 38 cents per stick) & their succulent satay are served with their unique & tasty pineapple-based satay sauce in the west that comes with it is thick and rich enough for most. Nothing can beat the Best COMBO of good satay with good satay sauce. That explained why their daily customers queue are so long.

I enjoyed the chunk of peanuts in the thick peanut sauce.

At first, I thought the best satay will be the Malay stall. After visiting this stall that is owned by a chinese couple, I discovered that the standard is equally good.

I hope that you can trust me by reading my review and give yourself a try of the satays.

The satays made of the tender, juicy pieces of chicken thigh meat that has been well marinated to give its a full flavour and with the tenderness and juiciness still intact.

I enjoyed the chunk of peanuts in the thick peanut sauce. No word is able to describe the wonder of this small bowl of goodness. It was so good with slices of cucumber, satays or the rice cake.

I do not really like eating rice cake and that is the main reason for my reluctance to order longtong. But this rice cake happened to be one of the nicest that i have ever eaten, it was soft and nice unlike some others that i tried, some were really hard.
