I ordered wanton Mee Pok dry at $3. Last time, I tried the old airport road stall hence decided to give this a try to see if is any different from the original stall. Overall, is one of the best wanton mee I ever tried but I still prefer the Old Airport road branch.

For my dinner, I had a takeaway of from the stall nearby my workplace. I got a plastic container as I didn't want the noodles to be all mixed up with the belachan chilli which I got the stall owner to put at the bottom of the plastic container. The noodles are quite springy and it does not have the alkaline taste in them. The char siew was rather lean, but luckily the char siew meat is not tough to chew on so that is alright. Very disappointing. I liked their food alot, but due to a very bad experience, i won't be patronizing them anymore. Though i still have cravings to buy their food.

Stall Design:
I was attracted by the stall's appearance when i was passing by. A truly modern hawker stall indeed. Bright and beautiful colors. Very well designed stall front for a hawker. Stands out alot among the other stalls. The queuing area is abit cramp. No, sorry. Its actually very cramp. Wrong location to open this stall, if they can't cook your food fast enough. Cooking speed is abit slow here.

Price:
I noticed from the previous reviews that it costs $2.50 for a bowl of wanton noodles. I think they increased their price. Now its $3(minimum), and $4 for a bigger portion. Likewise for most of the other items on the menu. If you order takeaway, they will put your food in a paper bowl, not the transparent plastic bag kind. And most of all, they don't charge extra for that paper bowl/chopstick/spoon! Free! No extra 20cents!

Food:
Their wanton noodles is not bad. Not the best in SG, but is one of the better ones among the area. Although its not the stall owner's recipe(originated in airport road), but still good. Very nice sauce, and sufficient. Tangy noodles. The Char siew meat is too lean, and therefore dry. Mine was totally lean char siew meat everytime i bought from them. The noodles are moist enough.

Service:
Theres always a grumpy auntie who takes your order. But if you can ignore that, its not bad actually, since there is a queue counter.

My Bad experience:
Just my luck. Came back from work, and this had to happen. I told the auntie that i wanted a $4 wanton noodles, and takeaway. My order came, but in a tray. She didn't hear the takeaway part apparently. I told her again that i wanted to takeaway. And they both started blaming me again and again. They said: "If you want to takeaway, then u must tell us!"

Well i did. What's with this sudden big reaction? They ignored the possible fact that the auntie did not hear my order clearly. They jumped straight to the conclusion that i did not mention that i want the food to be takeaway, and therefore i'm eating there. Unlike most other stall owners, when they are taking your order, they do not bother to ask you whether u are eating there or not.

I kept quiet throughout and did not bother to argue with them. They gave me a very black face, and kept shaking their head(A "buay tahan" you sign), and reprimanded me while transferring my food to the paper bowl for takeaway. Lucky for them, i did not explode with anger.

Overall, good food and no extra 20 cents for paper bowl/chopsticks and spoon(takeaway), despite with dry(lean) char siew and bad attitude of the staffs.

THis bowl of noodles is my favourite among most of my friends, however it does not really impressed me. The noodles may be chewy and bouncy, but dislike the ingredients topped on it. THe char siew meat was abit too dry and not roasted to perfection, just like only simple marination of char siew sauce to it only. The wanton is too simply as only minced pork can be found in it.

I was wondering how the noodles made with so many colours. Orange colour for Carrot, Green colour for Spinach vege, Yellow colour for normal noodles and etc. Cho Kee Noodle is the one which has the creative mindset for colourful noodles. It was located at Block 177 near Toa Payoh MRT. All customers have their own number to recognize whether their food is ready. I ordered this vegetables as side dish, not oily and healthy to eat. $3.00 per plate.Tasted like normal noodles, not too salty but still

Tasted like normal noodles, not too salty but still considered yummy with the noodles still tender. Costed $3.00 per bowl.

The Chicken Leg Noodle and Dumpling Soup

Chicken Leg Noodle Rated: 8.5/10
The stall offers a variety of "coloured" noodles including spinach, carrot, seaweed, beetroot and a few more flavours.
Although the color differs, the taste doesn't differ as much as expected.

This time i had the spinach flavoured noodles for my Chicken Leg Noodle.
I could not taste spinach with all the heavy seasonings that were also present in the same bowl.

The chicken feet tasted very good, it was cooked with herbs and spices, giving a very different taste.
The chicken feet noodle have added noodles and it costs only 3 dollars (original price: $2.50) which is pretty hard to find in the current market.
The taste worth more even than the price!

Dumpling Soup Rated: 8/10
The dumplings in my Dumpling Soup were filled with prawn and meat,
they were very filling and the dumpling skin was not too thick or too thin.
Everything blends together perfectly.
There were around 6 dumplings for 3 dollars which is quite reasonable.

The noodle was springy. Tasted GREAT with or without chilly!!
Wantons were very fresh and yummy!!
Char siew was good as well! It's not like those cheap ones where they use ample of food colouring lol

Read the description of the stall and found that Cho Kee Noodles are originated in Old Airport Road by the way!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This set of noodle only costs me $2.50.
I thought it will be more expensive because it's so special, but no!

SUPER SATISFIED WITH THIS MEAL.
GOOD SERVICE AND CLEAN ENVIRONMENT. YUMMY!!!
