Steamed Rice Roll with Shredded Chicken (2pcs) 鸡丝滑粉卷(2件)($4.20++)
Although it tastes smooth, we feel that the skin of the rice roll is a bit too thick. It does have smooth down the throat texture.

The purple colored bun has yam paste filling which is thick and not too sweet. The yellow colored bun has sweet corn filling and tastes sweet and crunchy. The orange colored bun has the smooth and molten salted egg yolk filling inside. Overall the buns are soft and fluffy.

The Cantonese style porridge is very smooth in texture. Tasty and delicious although one can barely find the egg and meat in it.

Sliced fish with prawns Congee ($10.80++)
Served in a claypot, it has 2 middle sized unpeeled prawns in it. The porridge is smooth and light.

With a pot of tea (which is charged at $1++ per person), the total bill comes up to $49.10 for 3 persons. The tea is filled often and food is served quite fast. Pickles and peanut are chargeable but the staff is fine with me that I have refused those. The meal is agreeable with all of us even for the one with tooth extraction.

I loved the pan fried yam cake with carrot.. I devoured it all... The braised pork was super tasty! We had fried beancurd skin with prawns and also fried brinjal. Luckily I hate hot jasmine tea to wash down all the oil!!
Well for 4 adults we spent $78 inclusive old gst and service.. Dim sum these days are so pricey. Thank God for credit card redemption points lol!

We start the meal with individual bowl of Double-boiled Pork Rib Soup with Watercress. The soup tastes full bodied and flavourful. The watercress is cooked till very soft and melt in the mouth texture. The pork rib is meaty and very soft.

This is followed by Simmered Seasonal Vegetable in Superior Broth. The broth is made of pork rib and tastes flavourful and not too salty. The spinach soaks up the flavour from the broth. Simple and tasty.

The platter is served with a ginger sauce which tastes great with plain rice. It reminds me of a ginger oil claypot rice which Crystal Jade used to served in its Scott Square's outlet.

The staffs are quite friendly and efficient. We have brought a cake with us and the staff kindly offers to keep it in the fridge for us. They clear the plates from time to time and refilled the tea regularly.

We ends the meal with Sweetened Red Bean Cream and Mango Pudding for dessert.

Overall quite a tasty and filling meal. Plus great service from the staffs.

Appealing pastry, the flaky dough was crunchy and the egg filling was silky moist. Full of buttery egg blended flavour, I enjoyed both crispy skin and wobbly custard. One plate was at price $3.50.

The most traditional Chinese taste among the all, my friend like it the most. The texture was solid and smooth. Dried shrimps and preserved meat were added inside the Carrot Cake, the mixture was fine. Costed me $3.60, the price here all subjected to 10% service charge and 7% GST. Generally, it was a pleasant trip for us.

Lastly, the Steamed BBQ Pork Bun ($3.30). The filling was a mix of sweetness and a smokey aftertaste. The steamed buns were soft and very easy to tear open. The bbq pork was not too fatty but still juicy.

Although the dim sum here will not blow your mind, you will leave this place feeling satisfied.

First time dining at Crystal Jade Kitchen at Causeway Point after its renovation. All the restaurants are shifted to level 5 area. I guessed it is a good idea, makes it easier for people to choose and browse through the menu before deciding what to eat. The portion at Crystal Jade is rather small, not enough for 5 of us. Hmm, they got to something about it. Perhaps gives customers a choice of either small, medium or large portion~~We ordered a 2 type of mixed meat, char siew and roased chicken.B

For the set meal, we chose the steamed fish and braised duck. The fish was very fresh and I liked the sauce very much. The duck was braised with yam. The duck meat was quite tough, but has absorbed the gravy nicely. For the $1 item, we chose the prawns with salted egg. The serving was obviously smaller, but for $1, it was still worth it. The prawns were fresh and crunchy, and the salted egg gave it a nice sweet and salty coating.

Overall, it was very worth the price and delicious definitely.

After trying so many wife biscuits that is also known as "Lao po bing" in the market, I personnally find that the ones that Crystal Jade my bread sells is still the better ones. The texture of the inner fillings was just nice and smooth, the sweetness is also very balanced. The pastry is quite flaky but good. Overall, the wife biscuit is more similar to the version that I had tried before in Hong Kong. Must give it a try.
