The first dish was the beef for the bbq. The beef comes marinated. And it is too salty for my liking. To my relief, the wagyu beef is not marinated and is indeed tender and delicious. The ginseng soup is yummy and we even had a refill at additional $6. The ginseng soup is enough to guarantee another visit from me.

We had the ma la and chicken soup base. The Ma La soup is really spicy and sour, suitable for people who love spicy dishes. The chicken base is a safe choice and is very ordinary. There is an order list where you can choose your desired raw meats and vegetables for the steamboat and it will be served. Overall, the food served are fresh and it's a really decent steamboat/hotpot experience.

The highlight for many will be the free flow XLB. But sadly, the XLB served in this buffet is not as good as the ones served during normal times. The soup and pork fillings were more or the less the same amount but the XLB skin felt more "flimsy" and thin and were more prone to breaking when you attempt to pick them up with your chopsticks. But if you exercise more care, you should still be able to pick your XLB up delicately and still enjoy the goodness of the soup and pork fillings.

Despite the restaurant being full, service was prompt and efficient. Do reserve ahead to book seats as this particular buffet is very popular!

Chose the ma la and chicken base for the soup and i think i would prefer the ma la one as it is damn shiok! The sliced pork was really good, i just couldn't stop eating. Not forgetting the xiao long bao too, but eating too much of it makes me feel like puking. The prawns were really fresh too. Service was great and the food came quickly too. Overall its a buffet worth trying!

Amazing xiao long bao served at the buffet! The right amount of soup with juicy and tender meat. My favorite food in crystal jade! The price is a bit costly, however the portion of the food is just right. I would so go back there again for another round of xiao long bao! xx

Had a class gathering at Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao. We ordered so many ‘longs’ of xiao long bao and so much food for the steamboat. I particularly like their dessert, that red bean jelly. It has a very unique taste but not alot of my friends like it. It was a great bonding session over a great meal, as always.

All time favourite Xiao Long bao

All i can say is Crystal jade's buffet is definetely worth it, Thumbs up.

I went with a couple of friends earlier last month, before that we were all quite excited because we were all big time lovers of xiao long bao. Knewing that, we kinda ordered alot but it's a buffet, you can eat all you want!

Other than xiao long bao, the buffet also comprises of steamboat. There's a wide range of raw food, vegetables to order. They also give 100g of complimentary fresh tiger prawns to each customers. I'd say the prawns are really delicious, freshness is guaranteed.

You can also choose from a wide range of dimsum such as charsiew bao, fried bao.

The only disadvantage is that the dessert are not very appetising, it's quite disappointing. Their types of dessert is quite little and it's not as delicious. However, the main area which is the steamboat and xiao long bao kinda outweight the cons.

Also, due to overcrowding sometimes, it might take awhile for the food to arrive however you'll have ample time to keep your stomach full!

My boyfriend's mom is in Singapore for her first time and she said that this was the best Chinese food she's ever had. Getting a reservation for the steamboat buffet was really hard so we settled for alacarte in the end. The xiao long bao was my favourite but overall the food was good. The fried rice is definitely worth a try too.

This is a restaurant that I love having my xiao long bao and la mian at, besides Din Tai Fung.I ordered the pan fried version of the xiao long bao. The outside skin is made of flour, like ordinary pao, but the fillings inside also contain the same type and amount of soup and juicy minced pork meat.I also ordered the Chinese pancake, turned out to taste like crumpled roti prata, something new and strange, but I like it. It was served in a basket.

Steamboats are one of the best way to have dinner with family and friends in an interactive way. So what are you waiting for? Head down to crystal jade's xiao long bao buffet and steamboat dinner this weekend!

Well, for a store which includes la mian and xiao long bao in its name, these two dishes are not bad. But thats almost about it.

Ordered the soup wantons, which was a real disappointment. I would say the wantons have too much "skin" (dough) and too few meat, so the ratio makes you can feel like you are eating any meat but just the wanton skin. Plus, it is rather tasteless.

Ate some stir-fried vegetables, nothing particularly special but is a bit pricey.

The crispy noodles are just alright, not fantastic and I would even go as far as suggesting that you might get a better one at your nearby hawker centre stir-fry stall.

The only thing I would recommend you to try is the Kou Shui Chicken, which literally means "saliva" chicken in chinese, but I think it is tranlasted as Sichuan spicy chicken on their menu. It is actually a cold dish, so it is rather unique and not common in Singapore. Be warned, it is rather spicy! You can have the Kou Shui Chicken La Mian (dry) as well, a rather different combination from the usual soup based la mian we would be familiar with.

The environment is not good and the service is slow. This is because the two-storey restaurant is separated into buffet section (level 2) and ala carte section (level 1). So usually most people go there for the buffet, but the buffet section is too packed, especially at the condiments station where there seems to be a never ending queue. The level 1 is also very crowded so you can hear the next table's customers talking even they are speaking softly. The level 1 is also designed in such a way that if you sit near or in the corner, the waitresses can never see you, and you can only hope that someone else outside waves for the waitress and she can see you after she comes over. So in conclusion it is crowded, noisy and slow.

All in all, the crystal jade la mian xiao long bao is nowhere near its counterpart crystal jade kitchen or its competitor ding tai fung. So I guess its ok if you want to eat some xiao long bao, but the rest of their dishes are rather so-so.

It was a tiring day at school. After shopping, we decided to drop by the Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao at Holland Avenue!I ordered the spicy beef noodles, which came in a tasty, savory chilli broth with sliced beef and noodles! I ordered the 'dao xiao mian' which means hand cut noodles, where the chef slices of the noodles by hand, thus giving it an uneven and thicker texture which i love! The soup was really tasty, and had just the right about of spiciness. Overall, a great meal!
