Located islandwide is this western stall call golden rooster, 可爱鸡. I have tried this years ago and love it ever since. Different outlets have a bit different taste but the menu is the same. I have tried the one at taman jurong, jurong west street 42 and this one at clementi. The one that I find most worthy is the half chicken. They have both barbequed and fried ones. This Golden Roaster branch at Clementi central was really outstanding as compared to other franchise branches around. I had tried the Grilled Chicken Chop at this outlet. Their gravy was totally different from the rest of the branches, it was savory and you can even drink as a soup. The Chicken meat was grilled such that the skin was crispy and the meat was juicy.

Golden Rooster is always one of my favourite stall when it comes to BBQ chicken. Their half BBQ chicken set comes with an option of fries or rice. Their chicken is always tender and juicy, next their serving were also generous. Although, there is an increase of price ($5.30) after renovation, but their consistent standard is what attracts me to visit them.

If you stay around this area or study at nearby NUS, I'm pretty sure you will have heard of the delicious BBQ chicken offered here. The serving sizes are large and at affordable prizes too. Located at Clementi Ave 3, Kopitiam next to NTUC Fairprice, 5 minutes walk from the Clementi MRT station.1/2 BBQ CHicken Rice is priced at $4.50, the price was affordable to most Singaporeans for a stomach filled meal.The 1/2 BBQ chicken serving size is big, more than enough for the rice. really love their chicken wings no matter they are grilled or deep fried, both still taste great. the chicken wings just taste exceptionally nice when eaten with the chili sauce. sometime also eat the whole spring chicken which i think the taste was not as nice which i suspect is because the marinate was hard to seep in.

i went to golden rooster for dinner the other day. i ordered their fish and chips. the wait for the food is really long. i guess they were really popular as i looked around and many people are also have western food. when the food came, i agreed that it was indeed worth the wait, the fish was fresh and juicy. the batter coating it was crispy. too bad they did not have any tartar sauce to go with it. the coslaw tasted really good as well. the fries was seasoned really well as well.
