I used to patronise this stall when i stayed in Holland a few years ago. This stall has moved from there to the current location. I always ordered their signature sliced fish bee hoon with the XO sauce. They cooked the thick bee hoon with the fresh tasting sliced fish with thick slices of ginger in the milky soup and added in the XO sauce to enhance its flavor. The XO taste is rather comforting and not overpowering. It can be a really good choice on a cold day or night.

We decided to order a fish dish during our countless visit to this zi char place. The White Pomfret fish is huge and steamed in Teochew style, with lots of preserved vegetables, plum, tomato, some ginger slices, and Japanese egg tofu. The fish is very fresh and it tastes appetizing and yummy, but this dish costs us $40! Expensive ya! We also ordered the stir-fried fish hor fun, it has lots of bean sprouts and tastes delicious as usual.

Better known for its XO fish head bee hoon, this famous stall at Holland Drive also has fantastic san lao hor fun (sliced fish hor fun). When I first tried it more than 5 years ago, I felt that it was the best san lao hor fun in Singapore. When I went back there last week, I ordered the san lao hor fun which costs $6. After so many years, Holland Village San Lao Hor Fun is still the best in Singapore. Although it is more expensive than other san lao hor fun, its extraordinary quality is unmatched and definitely worth your every dollar spent.

As I was there with my best friend and there is only the two of us, we decided to just order the XO fish head beehoon to share. We went before lunch time, and managed to avoid the lunch hour peak. Shortly after we came, more people started to stream in. It seems like this is really popular among the patrons there. The serving was quite large! The soup is very tasty. Those people with a strong taste palate will definitely like this. The fish is very fresh as well, thickly sliced. However, do note

However, do note that the soup is flavoured using quite a fair bit of msg, so it is best not to really drink the soup.

During my second visit to Holland Village Fish Head Bee Hoon, we decided not to have the XO fish noodles, but try their Zi Char. Not knowing what's good, we ordered those dishes that are advertised on their board. The XO sauce Tofu is one of the signature dish. We also ordered the butter prawn. The prawns are deep-fried till golden colour, and then cooked with butter.. and egg. Very crispy but slightly sweet though.

Conveniently located next to my neighborhood, this zi char stall is one of my favourite makan place. It is well-known for its XO fish head bee hoon. The soup base is fantastic, with strong XO alcohol taste. Apart from that, their prawn paste fried chicken and prawn roll (ngo xiang) are signature dishes that one must try too.

I simply love the xo slice fish bee hoon from this stall. My dad and mum would drive us there on weekends for a nice lunch. The soup is very tasty, thanks to the amount of XO they add it, the fish is fried till very crispy. The fish itself is very fresh, and the owner is always so generous in adding it. the bee hoon is superd, very smooth and glides down your throat. This is my favourite fish stall!

Wanted to eat something light and remembered that the XO fish beehoon from Holland has shifted to the current location at Dover Crescent. We went there and ordered their famous Fish Meat Beehoon minus the XO as it was $2 more!! Yes...I am cheap-skate like this... When our order arrived, we thought they have gotten our order wrong because the wine taste was really strong!! Well, they didn't charge us the XO price so we figured it was either the chef gave us XO by mistake or their normal version

When our order arrived, we thought they have gotten our order wrong because the wine taste was really strong!! Well, they didn't charge us the XO price so we figured it was either the chef gave us XO by mistake or their normal version already has a very generous amount of the shaoxing wine.

I liked the taste enough but the fish meat was not as generous as the HK Street street opposite Alexandra Hospital. Parking was ok as it's below a multi-story carpark but we had to park pretty high up and still have to walk down to the Coffeeshop.

Again, this is gonna be only listed as a 'if-I'm-in-the-area' place to makan.
