was first introduced to this restaurant by my friends several years ago when we looking for dinner place after we came back from sentosa. i think the most attractive and nicest food of this restaurant is the steam/ "bake" pork chop rice. contrary to the normal baked rice, the "bake" rice they serve was made via steaming so when i first saw the dish i was like so shock and the taste was still great!

cheesed baked fish with riceLove their cheesed baked fish with rice. Very reasonably priced and very tasty fish baked just right to make it soft and tender. The ingredients are really given in a generous portion. Love the taste of the melted cheese topping, soft and fragrant rice and last but not least, the flavourful tender fish! Service was wonderful too.. All in all, a great first time experience!

Kim Gary is a Hong Kong style restaurant. It's more like a Hong Kong fast food chain stall to me actually.Surprisingly their pork chop lunch set was quite good. Pork chop was well marinated and taste good. Crispy on the outside yet not too oily! Also the rice portion given is just right and goes along well with the pork chop instead of fries. The lunch set is selling at S$8.90 also comes with borsh soup and a hot drink of your choice. Hence i have ordered the silky smooth "yuan yan" teh. All in

When my friend asked me to suggest a place for dinner which is neither too expansive nor have to wait for too long, Kim Gary is the first restaurant that comes to my mind without fail. Styled like a Hong Kong teahouse, this restaurant has a simple yet cheerful decor. All the tables are placed fairly close together, if you are lucky enough, you might get a nice seat by the window. There's a huge variety of value for money dishes ranging from noodles, baked rice, hot plates, mushroom rice, toast, etc in the menu.

As usual, I always ordered their borsch soup and shredded pork and fried egg with Chinese Mushroom rice. This two dishes are concluded by me their most delicious dishes. The hot borsch soup brings warmth to me immediately and since it's Hong Kong style, tomato were used instead of beetroot. There's no meat inside instead it's full of other vegetables ingredients. Very nice. Their shredded pork and fried egg with Chinese Mushroom rice is simply tasty. They also added sweet corns at the top to further enhance the flavour of the dish. Shredded pork meat is chewy and juicy with the juicy sweet corn. It's really an enjoyable meal.

My conclusion for Kim Gary is that it's a nice casual hangout place with friends, since the extensive menu can cater to everyone's taste bud and the price is reasonable too.

i had a mind blowing dinner at kim gary the other day. ordered their fish baked rice with pineapple curry. the amount of cheese they add on top of the baked rice is really a lot. for cheese lovers like me, it is simply heavenly! the curry is also really good, not too spicy but i like the combination of the sour and sweetness of the pineapple, really awesome.

It’s always long queue here when it’s reached lunch time and dinner time. Their menu is a bit complicated. Too many different menus, I almost took like 15mins to read every menu that they have. I’ve tried the Seafood hotplate where you can find the grilled salmon, scallop, squid, octopus, mussels and potatoes wedges on the plate. The portion for the potatoes wedges is almost half of the plate but it’s nice. The grilled salmon is slightly overcooked. The octopus is my favorite but its pity little

The portion for the potatoes wedges is almost half of the plate but it’s nice. The grilled salmon is slightly overcooked. The octopus is my favorite but its pity little on the plate. The grilled corn is juicy, I like it. The tempura mussels are too dry for me. I’ve ordered the seafood curry as well. It’s a very big bowl of curry that covered by the pastry. The pastry is nice and tasty to go with the curry. The portion is too big for a person, better to share. I do not like the potatoes skins that they served. The skin is too thick, feel like eating potatoes wedges. The filling not really match the potato skin.

I decided to give this Malaysia chain restaurant a try after meeting my ex-colleagues. When we reached the restaurant, there was a very long queue (20 persons i guess!). The cheese can stretch from the plate to my hungry mouth just like the pizza hut advertisement. Hehe! The mushrooms were very fresh and mixed very well with the double cheese. Everytime I think of Hong Kong food, I will immediately think of kim gary. I love the large variety of food they offer. They have the most menu as compared to other hong kong restaurant. And most of their food is described with pictures in their menu.I love to order that spaghetti. And I love their borsh soup a lot too. It taste sweet and sour at the same time, the soup is not watery but very thick. The ingredients in the soup are quite big pieces too. Simply delicious!

Maybe I set my expectations too high for a Hong Kong style tea session @Kim Gary. But I have had pleasant memories of their tea-time servings (when I 1st tried it at Tampines 1). The thick toast wasn't crispy, but hard... When it turned cold it was worse -.-" As for the Pork Chop Bun, I thought the way they marinated the pork was funny, that taste wasn't to my liking. Just to let u know, this bun is the soft type. We thought only the Yuan Yang was great.

If you're lucky enough to beat the queue to the window seat over looking RWS, u'll enjoy it more~ U don't have to worry abt the food standard in Kim Gary, but I personally feel that the Tampines1 branch tastes better~ The Vivo branch is just too small, the queue is just too long that u lost half of your appetite by the time u sit down
