13 June, 12:40pm. Takashimaya. Three staffs in the store but only one is working-preparing the noodles. The lady was just overlooking, commenting and not taking orders. Another guy totally ignored me when I wanted to order. Just standing inside and doing nothing. Queue was building up. This is the first time service sucks in more than 15 years!

My latest guilt is the okonomiyaki i had at Modanyaki at Takashimaya Food hall. Modanyaki is actually means modern okonomiyaki, which is a combination of the Japanese pancake and noodles. Interesting right?Anyway one of my fattest addiction is this okonomiyaki from this stall. They serve a limited variety of okonomiyakis and I happen to get the simpler version with no additional frills. There are plenty of food choices at Takashimaya's basement food hall and one of my favourite is this Japanese Modanyaki kiosk! You can always see a crowd standing nearby the stall and looking at the staff frying the mountain of noodles. There are a few yakisoba choices, and all included mixing the noodles with cheese, egg and Japanese sauce. The noodles are tasty and this is great for supper or as a snack! ;)

I finally remembered the name of this place, Modanyaki!It's just a small stall located in Takashimaya Food Hall Sometimes i have to queue for 5-10 mins if its the dinner crowd Even so, i really love the noodles from this place!The noodles usually have ingredients like meat bits and cabbage in it!The noodles were fried very tastily, and i love to order this with the egg on top The compliment of ketchup, egg and tasty noodles fried in Japanese sauce topped with some seaweed garnish is just content

My all times favourites yakisoba store, cheapest in town. I haven't been eating this for 2-3months, this time I went, it tasted much better than the previous time, and I also requested for more mayo and they did gave me more. The price is still same, I'm glad that they didn't increase price, waiting time for dinner took about 15-20mins this time, do try their cheese one.

The cheese was super stretchy and the mayo went so well with it!It’s the mixture of all the sauces that made the noodles very appetising.

I have not been eating this for quite a long time,so while shopping there,so i go & try try,i order their japanese sauces sobayaki,This time i find that their soba was a bit too dry,eggs also overcooked,not much sauces too,was a bit disappointed,waiting time took about 10mins during dinner time,staff was friendly & nice,but their standard have drop,need to improve more

well the yakisoba is just average though it smell quite nice. the noodle tend to be a bit blend so it must be complemented with the sauce and the portion is pretty small too so i think is not a good choice if is for a proper meal but good to have if want to have a heavier snack. the good thing about the store is that the soba is freshly prepared and not left there and just reheat them.

This also my fav stall Their Modanyaki is very nice & price reasonableLast time the one who cooking is a japanese guy but now all changed to chinese usually i will order their japanese sauce modanyaki $3.50 Their noodles is very QQ,with veg & some meat ,eggs& topped with a big layer of mayo sauce overall i rate 10/10

This is a must try! Every time I go Takashimaya, I would buy one and take away more. I remember eating this when I was a kid and staying at the nearby Mandarin Hotel.I always order the Omelette Modanyaki although the others are good too. The noodles are wrapped in the egg omelette. The noodles have meat I think it is chicken meat, cabbage and sometimes, ginger. They also put mayonnaise in it. I love it with the mayonnaise and always ask for more.They will squeeze tomato sauce on it and you can a
