all the 3 dishes that we have ordered are nice, especially the white chicken and the "shao rou" (shown in the 3rd pic). the shao rou is really thick and chewy. the skin is very crispy too. as for the fried char siew bao, it is not bad but i still prefer those from tim ho wan.

overall, my parents and i were satisfied with the standard of the food. will return in future again with my friends.

We were looking to have some chinese food and finally settled on Paradise Inn, tried and tested and can't go too wrong. We had the lao huang gua soup, which was good and flavourful, with lots of pork ribs and melon within, portion good for 3 to share. Next up the hotplate tofu, the tofu was a large slab and quite soft and silky, and the slightly spicy sauce goes really well with rice. Kai lan on the other hand was rather common-tasting.

A while ago, they offer set dinner at a promotional price. Food was not bad - kinda homey but made by chef. Winter melon soup was yummy. Fried egg with shrimp - shrimps were tiny but wok hei was there. Coffee crusted pork ribs was delicious except it was a little bitter. Thai stir fry veggies were sour and appetizing. The set dinner also came with a drink of barley and dessert. Steam rice was also included. Not a bad food experience at Paradise Inn.

Normally after a day's work, dinner will be chinese food on my top list as it has to fill my day. I love varieties so seafood, meat, vegetable etc choices are great for me. The reason why I like Paradise Inn is because they've the dishes like a home made speciality. Their Stewed Dong Po Pork is a must try but I try to eat it only once a fortnight or so. Another dish i like is the hot plate toufu, Poached Chinese Spinach with Egg Trio & Crisp-fried Shrimp Paste Chicken

My dad brought the whole family to paradise inn for dinner. They sell really good chinese food. We ordered quite a number of dishes. My favourite of all is the coffee spare ribs. Initially when my mum ordered this dish, I was rather sceptically, how can they add coffee to savory dishes but it turned out really good. the coffee taste was not strong at all. the ribs very rather sweetish. It was very tender and juicy. a really unique but delicious dish!

Family decided to try a new restaurant for Fathers' Day dinner and despite the poor reviews, we ordered: 1) Cold dish - interesting fried seafood thingie with a dob of Wasabi mayo on top. Nice! 2) Coffee ribs - good balance of coffee without the ribs being too bitter 3) Steam cod - like I always say, it's COD!! Need I say more? And the cod is fresh so the meat is sweet and the 'soup' awesome 4) Broccoli mushroom - this dish was nice too. Almost like wedding banquet standard 5) Old cucumber soup

3) Steam cod - like I always say, it's COD!! Need I say more? And the cod is fresh so the meat is sweet and the 'soup' awesome

4) Broccoli mushroom - this dish was nice too. Almost like wedding banquet standard

5) Old cucumber soup - well double-boiled soup! Can fight Soup Restaurant!

6) Salted Egg Prawn - this is also very well executed. Not too salty with the right amount of frying. Kudos to the chef!

7) Pan fried beef - tender pieces of beef in black pepper marinate, stir-fried to perfection

8) Fried waxed-meat rice - I can't explain it but it's not claypot rice as it's not mushy. Every grain is wonderfully coated with a nice layer wok-hei-ness. It's just awesome lah.

9) Fried Broad Noodle - they said it's the Malaysian style of fried noodle. It's got dark sauce and taste a little like Hokkien Mee but the type of noodle is the thick fat ones. Another winner dish!

Am very impressed as almost every dish was good. Will most definitely return to re-visit all those dishes.

The Paradise group is expanding rapidly nowadays, extending on its brand name to create various eateries in an attempt to cater to practically everybody and anybody who eats Chinese food. Paradise Inn is one such entity, being marketed as an affordable restaurant, tea house and dessert house all rolled into one.

We had a go at the Bedok Point outlet of Paradise Inn, which sported large windows framed by wooden partitions and interesting looking wood cage lamps. Bright sunlight flittered in, giving rise to a cheery atmosphere sans the heat.

Thai Baby Kailan with Salted Fish - This dish came across as rather slip shod as the Kailan failed to absorb the gravy and came across as lightly sourish and raw. And the little bits of salted fish weren't salty enough to make much of a difference.

Prawns with Salted Egg - I'm a big fan of this dish but somehow Paradise Inn's rendition left much to be desired. For starters, it didn't look freshly prepared and the amount of oil was a turn off. Adding to the woes was the rather watery salted egg coating and thicker than ideal batter. However, taste wise it was still decent.

Sweet and Sour Pork - Restaurants tend to use quite a bit of fat meat in their sweet and sour pork dish and Paradise Inn was no exemption. The miniscule amount of meat tended towards the fatty side and the flour was too thick in my humble opinion. Average at best.

Mini Wok Tofu - Seafood Paradise has the exact same dish, just under a different name (and with significantly more ingredients) that's all. The tofu was soft but not exactly smooth and lacked the hint of smokiness that the one at Seafood Paradise offered. The portion of meat floss atop was found wanting as well. Still very palatable though.

Honestly, $65 for a 3 pax lunch isn't really expensive but quite a few of the dishes are similar to that of Seafood Paradise, albeit with a decrease in portion size and utilisation of inferior ingredients. Food overall is still decent though and so is the service. However I am not comfortable with the dilution of the Paradise brand name, one that I've always associated with above average quality food (save for the less than stellar experience at Taste Paradise Ion). Is the Paradise group really biting off more than it can chew? Only time will tell.

This is one of the many branches under the Paradise Inn brand. It was crowded with a short queue on the Mother’s Day weekend. This is one of the many branches under the Paradise Inn brand. It was crowded with a short queue on the Mother’s Day weekend. Prices are more expensive than Zhi Char but affordable in air-con setting.

One thing is consistent is the yummy and nuritious double-boiled soup which comes in earthen pot and serve on top a warmer. One pot is enough for 4-5 persons. Price is either $13.80 or $16.80. We wanted to try their signature double-boiled water goby soup with apple, but it was not available. We settled for double-boiled spare rib with watercress soup.

We ordered some of their signature dishes such as Stewed Pork Belly served with lotus bun at $2.20 each. Crisp-fried Crystal Prawn with Wasabi Mayo Sauce which is quite nice with a fruity sauce. The Fried Cod Fish with Supreme Sauce was nicely done and not too salty. The sauce goes well with piping hot rice. Another of their Signature dish is Fried Vermicelli with Pork Leg, which was fragrant and yummy despite the high calories.

The place is good for a family meal in air-con comfort. It serves familiar dishes with a home cooked feel.
