Polar Puffs & Cakes (Closed)

This sugar roll was recommended by my friend and i really fall in love with it after trying. If you have a sweet tooth, you will like this too. It is basically like a vanilla soft sponge cake with sugar on top of it. Although it feels sinful to me but i really like the taste of it. and also it isn't expensive. one slice of it cost around $2. will definitely go back and buy for my family again.

This is my first time trying out polar’s otah puff. I had originally intended to get the curry puff but it is sold out. I am glad though, because I find the otah puff just as nice as the curry puff. The pastry is very buttery and fragrant. It is slightly warm which made it even tastier. Such puffs are always great when warm, and cold puffs are just off putting. The otah meat is slightly spicy and flavourful too. It is truly a delight. I will recommend people who love spicy stuff to try this!

I got this piece of cake out of impulse. I was shopping there with my mum and wanted it quite badly when we were there. The design of this green angry bird is indeed a good selling point. The sponge cake within was soft and light. The side of the cake was coated with chocolate rice. It looks better than its taste. The level of sweetness was just right. It still tasted good even after i left it in the fridge overnight.

Polar sells a variety of pasteries and puffs and this chicken pie is one of its more popular puffs. The chicken pies are circular and small and suited as a snack. I like the mixture of chickene, potato and carrots bits within the puff. Unlike baker's oven which chose to add mushroom within the puff, Polar uses different types of ingredients to stuff in the puff and the filling is not too salty. Generally a not too bad puff but not fantastic

Polar sells a variety of cakes and this coffee peanut cake is one of its more popular/commonly sold ones. The cakes are spongy and quite filling. The cake has a layer a white cream within it and on top of the cake and fine peanut pieces are sprinkled over the cake. I am not a cake lover and I found that this coffee peanut cake as it is called lacks the coffee tase. The peanuts though quite fragrant is too strong and covers most of the coffee cake tatse and thus, this cake tasted more like peanut

love the sugar rolls here. there is not too much cream which is great as it's not sickening. the cake itself is just the right texture and sweetness and size. it's the best sugar roll in singapore so far. love it with the sugar on top. it's not too expensive and you can buy it in a bigger whole roll of cake. their cakes are all very colourful and they have savoury items as well. but out of all their stuff, i only like their plain sugar roll! everything else is not quite up to standard.

Recently, on my shopping day out, I stopped at Polar Puffs & cakes to grab a snack and looked around at the puffs and finally decided to buy a Chicken puff. I can bet that Polar puffs & cakes are specialists in what they prepare,since their puffs are as good as their cakes. The puff was very crispy from the outside & soft inside. The filling was very tasty & had a continental flavour. It had chicken & vegetables. It was indeed a very tasty snack.

Got this for my friend's birthday, and it was pretty reasonable pricing for the cake. We all tried a piece, and it was good, the coffee aroma was strong, and the cake was soft and fluffy, could taste the essence of cocoa powder sprinkled on top as well. The mascarpone cheese was not too much as well, which made it great to eat, especially since we all just had a full dinner. Would recommend this if you just have a small group of friends.

I'll always go to Polar Puffs for thier yummy yet affordable pastries and puffs. They also sell these adorable character print cakes that appeal to both children and adults. Examples of such cartoon characters include Doraemon, Tom & Jerry and Sesame Street. I bought a Nutella Cake for my friends birthday and it was really nice! Not as sweet as Chocolate Cakes but nice and refreshing with the rich hazelnut taste. Great! Can try it out!

I was walking around plaza singapura waiting for my friends to arrive, it was around 7plus going to 8pm. I felt a little hungry and decided to buy a snack while I waited for my friends to arrive. I came across polar puff and pastries and decided to buy a sausage roll. But I guess I came a little too late and they were having some pastries promotion where the more you buy the cheaper it is, so what was left was some chicken pie and a tuna puff and some other pastries. I did not have much choices

Polar Puffs and Cakes is famous for its signature puffs like curry puffs,sardine puffs etc.. and cakes like swiss roll etc..but their chocolate eclair at $1.60 is equally delicious and not too sweet with generous chocolates coating and it almost cover the entire top of the long puff.My daughter had the cake that sharp in the looks of hello kitty at $5.50 per square piece and i enjoyed seeing her licking bits by bits the strawberry jams,creams on top before finally getting a bit into the cake.Wil

The best pandan variation cake ever!The kiwi jelly is both sweet and sour with even the similar black bits in kiwi fruits.The pandan cake is fragrant and the brown portion of the cake gives me a little gula melaka like taste.The sugar roll cake sounds like it's awfully sweet but trust me, the level is just nice!

We were almost late for a friend's birthday celebration. Hence, we quickly grabbed a cake from polar, unsure of whether it will taste good. Fortunately, their cake was good!
